Take it and leave quickly so you don't have to make a new pot?

I don't drink coffee.

If I did I would have voted to pour and make new.

Leave it in there, start a new pot on top of it.

We have K-Cups at work.

Is your boss there? Ask him if he wants the last cup of coffee and brew yourself a new one.

Tell your employer to buy a coffee machine that brews a cup on demand.

Depends on hen in the day this occurs. The closer to lunch, the less likelyhood I will put a new pot on. Cause nobody will drink it.

OMGHi2U

I usually dump it and make a new pot.

However, the other day I was left in charge of the director of security for the day, so I appointed my buddy the executive director of kitchen operations. The coffee maker now falls under his responsibilities.

Yeah we have a separate container we use for the water, so we can leave the pot in there.

I took the 6th option and here it is.

You go get the coffee cup from the schmuck in the next cube who drinks the coffee but never makes coffee or pays into the coffee fund, while he's in the bathroom. You spit in, dunk your shoe in, and finally throw some pencil lead into the cup before placing it back on his desk.

Since it's "that time of the year" you offer him a couple GirlScout cookies you bought to go with his free, re-formulated coffee.

This is a test of some sort. One person takes the coffee and runs, while the other makes a new pot after pouring you the last of the pot. Which side of the fence do you stand on. I will pour you a new coffee and then make a new pot.

Good thread EH.

I tend to find myself in this situation most mornings and was curious if my dumping the last cup was in poor form. Looks like I'm not committing the faux pas I thought I was

My problem is if I make a pot of coffee, it is not so much a pot. We have those big-ass pump-canisters that hold an equivalent of 3-4 pots of coffee. My situation is different, cause if i make another pot late in the morning, most of it will go to waste. But if I find one in the early morning, I will replace it.
