Default '13 WRX mpg

How's it going all, I've searched a few threads on here and I find that most of the mpg threads & most are fairly old or don't discuss what they actually get. Although I am fully away Subaru says the wrx gets 19mpg city I'm curious as to what everyone on here gets as I've been told from quite a few sources that it is better than that. I ask because I've saved up money for a nice down payment and although mpg will no discourage me as I'm fully aware I'm not going to get 30mpg I'm just curious to see what I'm getting myself into so what I'm asking is this. Please post your average mpg for your wrx & if you have any mods.

I only have 700 miles on my '13 and these have mainly been around town and getting 19-20mpg. The day after I purchased it from the dealer I installed the Cobb AP, turbo back exhaust and cold air intake so my results may be different.

How do you like it? Is this your first subaru? I just saved up 7k for a new subaru and I'm trying to save up to 10k but I'm dying to get it, I'm pumped to get one I don't think I can hold off much longer

I'm in the middle of city & highway meaning I'm not really stop and go but I'm also not driving for hours without stopping so I'm not all that worried about it. I'm just excited to get it already, thanks for all the positive feedback this far guys

Dash MPG doesn't matter. Only way to get true MPG is based off of every tank full. And what everyone else gets means nothing to you.

I understand that just because someone gets 25mpg for example does not mean I am going to get the same. I am aware that every car and driver are different. All I am doing is trying to get a general consensus as to what other drivers are getting. That being said, what everyone else gets means a lot to me. More specifically, if everyone that posts on this thread says they get between 20-25mpg city one could infer that they to too would get somewhere around there. But, thank you for your post & the true way to calculate mpg.

i was charting out my STI's MPG for several months and included dash MPG along with "true" mpg. it wasnt so bad... i think? i refill usually when less than a quarter tank.

My 2012 WRX sees 22-23 in 60% highway (70-75 mph) and 40% city in the warm months and 20-21 in the winter. It's quite hilly and windy in Kansas City as well which takes its toll on MPGs. If I lived somewhere where highway speeds were confined below 65mph, less wind, and topographic gradient, I'd be seeing much better MPGS.

Dash mileage:
Currently ~18 (city, little highway)
Was getting 26+ on a roadtrip around Christmas. Car has <3k on it, I was told that it should approach the suggested MPG around 6k.

I'm really hoping the 2014 WRX mileage goes up! I'm really enjoying getting 30+ in the BRZ so if it doesn't that may make it difficult to give it up.

i get about 23 mpg avg in my stage 3 vf52ed 08. its about the same as i got stock and even stage 1. at a dealership i saw a new gt500 mustang today. the window sticker was i think 18 and 24! how the hell with 660 hp? man awd must rob some power. if you keep out of boost and shift around 3k i seem to get better mileage.

21 mpg avg on my first tank. The dealership likely filled it with 10% ethanol gas though, hoping to do better on my 100% gasoline second tank.

Car has 270 miles on it as of today

I heard the new gen wrx is supposed to be 2.0L which would mean better gas mileage but I also heard that its not supposed to come out until next summer. But then again that's all hearsay

2013 wrx bought in sept

Stage 1 in around jan i think
Stage 2 in feb

6k miles. Avg 19 per gallon city/freeway

I was avg 21 on 91 but no ethanol (michigan gas)

Flashed back to my 93 stage 2 custom and was averaging 19. Warm ups take about a few min but you just watch that avg drop.

Just drive the car and pump you need gas. Your taking it everywhere w you and again its a car that doesnt advertised for gas efficient. Buy an impreza or a prius if you want to save gas money.

Oh if you think oh stage 1 stage 2 could save you gas... HA your dead wrong
