15.9 to 16.1 completely stock. I'm not the most graceful driver, and everyone seemed to run slow the only day I've had the car at the strip, so I imagine it may have another tenth or two in it on a better day.

Wow, that's a pretty healthy car considering the level of mods. Must have been built on a Wednesday when the workers were happy.
Stock I ran 16.027 @ 83 or 84 sumthin, 60' time was 2.1xx. My best is 15.361 @ 89.48mph with a 2.198 60' time. With that said, I think that trap speed may have been a timing fluke, as I've never run anything higher than 88mph except for that one run, and generally the traps are consistent mid 87s. It's worth noting that my 2.5GT weighs in around 275# more than a GC body 2.5RS (excuses, excuses... ). I have Cobb heads, cams, Injen intake, full MRT exhaust, aluminum flywheel, and an S-AFC. I've never been able to pull the sub-2.0 60' times that I see other people running, I don't know if I'm just too nice to my clutch or what. About the best I've gotten is around 2.10 I think. Yeah, I got a strong one I think. Here is another drag pass I made. It was 2 months after I bought my car and only my second time drag racing.
The car had 35k miles at the time. Only mod was Injen intake on Dunlop allseason tires. I removed my spare tire, jack, and the front plates that block the hood scoop and vents. Other then that, the car was stock. Also had 3/4 tank of gas. R/T--------.610 60'--------1.979 330'------6.039 1/8-------9.465 at 71.37 mph 1000'----12.459 1/4--------15.005 at 88.51 mph @ Portland International Raceway on 4/18/03 |

To give some HP correlation to Ruff, I run just about the exact same. I have dynoed at 152 whp on a Mustang Dyno and was only getting 15.2 with a 2.002 best 60' time. Then I upped the boost some and started getting 14.9 with 1.9 60' time and am an estimated 175-180 whp now.
So basically, Ruff has a badass RS. |

I've pulled a 13.2@101 with a slipping clutch. Two weeks before I ran a 13.5 @106 so I know there is a 12 sec pass in her. This is with about 17 psi.

when i had my 2.5 i ran a stock time of 15.3 with no spare tire or jack. i then ran a 15.0 with a cobb intake. i then returned and pulled a 14.6 with twe equal headers, apex'i n1 cat back, random tech cat, n1 pully set, grounding mod. i then ran a 14.5 with the same mods + a smt 6 piggy back. Best time to date is a 13.4 with just a 50 shot of nx nitrous. oh yea the last 2 runs were with no wing, not sure if it made that much of a diff.

Cool thread, i linked this in my N/A tuning thread. Thanks to everyone posting there mods along with times.
Looked at other WRX times in the Proven forum and stock WRX's pre-'MY06 are running in the mid to low 14s. So some good N/A times here. Saw one COBB STAGE 1 getting kudos for a 14.6 with good launch times. He must be running on a tough strip. Last edited by Rally_wgn; 06-11-2006 at 10:31 PM. |
