Turbo XS BOV-H
My girlfriend purchased this BOV for me as a Christmass present. We excahnged gifts early so I decided to Install it ealier this morning. Install is a breeze. It took me a total of eight (8) minutes from start to finish. I didn't need to tune it at all. Got in my car and took it for a ride. It's a lot quietier than I figured it would be. I didn't encounter any loss or stutter when I shift. I also listenend for a wobble in the turbine (compressor stall) never encountered it. I took it on the back roads and took it out to high way speeds. Never an issue. I am happy with the product and would reccomend it to anyone. If anybody has any questions please let me know.

I've got one of these, and really like it.
But I need to tell this story: I was in NC, last winter. I had my boost turned up a tad, and was giving a Honda a little run late one night. I felt the car pull in 1st, I shifted to second, and it just died. Stalled. I would start the car, and whenver I put it in gear, it would die. A policeman pulled up behind me, and we checked out under the hood (I thought I way over-boosted, and thought I'd be seeing a CEL soon). It turns out my BOV had SHOT OFF THE flange/adapter, and I'm lucky it didn't shoot through my hood. The 3 small allen screws that hold the BOV onto the adapter (sort of) had come out. I lost 1, but saved 2. I put some lock-tite in when I reattached it the next day, and it's been fine since. But just a warning... Other than that (and the reduced gas mileage, and the fact of running a tad rich), I really like this BOV. |
