I've had a flat screen TV shipped via Amazon and UPS. I have no idea if they kept it upright, but I doubt they give two turds attention to instructions like that (if you worked for UPS, would you always pay attention to that?)

TV works fine, going on 2 years, and was a great price...

I simply fork over the extra $35 and have it delivered. That way if it is broken or doesn't work properly, they can take it back immediately. Have had a few TVs delivered that were broken/not working properly and they were all replaced without any issues - couple of times the delivery ended up being free.

can we buy the 2011 kit and install into ours? do we need to modify it much to make it work? does the electrical hookups work the same or do we need to splice etc?

Question.

I've seen a few videos of guys with our cars simply removing the axleback and running basically a turndown pipe with no muffler instead. It seemed to sound pretty solid. Originally I was figuring on getting the single outlet axleback from Moore (in which I still may do), but was wondering about this turndown as possibly a temporary solution. I was basically just wondering of the pros and cons. Pros: sound, cheap. Cons: (likely) a tad bit of power loss due to less muffler related backpressure, possible CEL's. Anything else? Never really looked into it much. Figured I'd ask.

How do those fog light inserts come out. I was staring at the lower grill and thinking of adding a set of Hella 450 fogs there after cutting out a couple of sections of the horizontal pieces as well as putting a screen behind it to keep the crap out, I already had to dig out a handful of leaves and I would prefer to keep the rocks away from the condenser, winter is over so the other half of the year starts, road repair and election asphalting season.

As long as you still have the resonator. While I love how my car sounds with the SPT Exhaust we installed in February, cabin noise has been a bit of an issue. I may be revisiting my exhaust system to re-install the resonator that was subsequently removed when we installed this system. The growl from the 2.0i Boxer Engine is beautiful, but the noise inside my 5-Door gets a bit unbearable sometimes when the RPMs are just between 1k and 2k as well as between 3k and 4k. At first I thought Dynamat or some kind of soundproofing would help, but yesterday I was told "Oh yeah hey, you don't have a resonator."

Fog light plastic surrounds just pop out. Pry off the plastic push clips under the bumper pull down the plastic shield and push from behind. It pops out pretty easy. The light will stay in place.

The brz exhaust lines up very well and all the hangers are there. If I remember correctly just needs a small mid pipe modification.

That's exactly right, Scoutisimo.

The cabin noise in my Impreza definitely needs to be addressed. I had pondered stealing the BRZ's resonator and putting that in the clear midpipe on my SPT exhaust. I had also pondered just straight-out swapping my SPT for the BRZ setup... but I've heard it's pretty quiet. As usual, I'll share what I do on here.

Here's what she is so far.

Wrong. The main issue is the screen/actual glass, the large screens are not stable when layed down and can shatter. Same goes for window glass, why do you never see it shipped horizontally?

I work for a shipping company, large pieces of glass do not fare well when shipped laying down

Perhaps you should ask the guys in the off topic thread? You would get a larger pool of opinions.

I second that comment, move this to the off topic for the most opinions

Got my Cobb Short Shifter installed tonight. Installation went smoothly, and more quickly than I expected considering it was my first time disassembling the storage cubby and trim around the shifter (although I did disassemble the center console when replacing my head unit, so I had that much experience).

I didn't replace any bushings, and suspect that I'll be happy enough with this configuration to not bother.

I have the shifting throw as short as I could make it without cutting/bending the front-left corner of the metal plate. I have the height set a bit shorter than stock, but not WAY shorter than stock.

Looking forward to getting used to the car with this and also my new 19mm RSB mods!

Nothing wrong with making the ride a little more fun. Now that most of the main guys here have done the short shifter, and RSB we need to find something else thats a worth while upgrade.
Anyone know what happened to italia490? he was doing some great things to his Impreza but seems to have disappeared.

P.S. nice rims on the imprezas! is one yours and one your significant others? which 1 is yours?

If the guys on the VW TDI forum knew that you just called me "the most level headed guy on the forum", their heads would explode! I've ruffled more than my fair share of feathers over there.
