I am currently running 100% e85 all day everyday... no horsepower numbers yet though. I have to fix a couple problems with my engine right now, but once it gets back together I'll have the duty cycle and dyno numbers. Oh yea the car is N/A so I'll be similar to Hamfist.

What is the injector duty cycle?, does injectors seem to small for a 47lb turbo at your altitude IMO

If you are keeping your setup the same, and just changing to E85, then you should measure your injector duty cycle via RomRaider or something. Then a guideline to required size would be:

Current Injector Size x Current Max Injector Duty Cycle x 1.3 / .9

The first product tells you how much injector you are actually running. The 1.3 gives you the extra fuel for E85 at 100% duty, and dividing by .9 gives you a safer 90% duty cycle. So in all the formula gives you a 90% Injector duty cycle ESTIMATE for a similar tune, but on E85. It would probably be enough to get a good tune, though you may still max the injectors out, and should probably bump up the number a bit to give some headroom.

Just my two cents. Feel free to chime in with other opinions.

Old habits die hard. Here in Kentucky I'm trying to get some excitement for e85.

Keep the faith & keep the performance #s rolling in.

Yeah I have someone arguing with me about stoich for e85 is 9.7:1 and that there is no way our cars are running around with 11.5ish afr's

I don't know how to explain it since I had nothing todo with the tuning, it was all CAMTuning magic.

CJ, you and the guy you're arguing with are both right. Stoich for e85 is around 9.8. So 1 lambda is 9.8/9.8. Because your wideband is scaled for 1 lambda equals 14.7/14.7, it shows 11.7 in gasoline afr terms. If you programmed it for e85 it would show 7.67 because you're running .79 lambda (.79 x 9.8). It's all relative.

Bump for E85 Army stickers...I want to see a design!

Hopefully will be updating in a month or two. I've got a road dyno showing ~320 whp now and I'm sure its got 12's in it, but I haven't had a chance to prove it by getting a time slip...

I can't wait to fix my car issues and see if I gain anything with my higher compression, ported heads and cams

I will when I get home from work, the numbers Cam came up with using the same software are very similar to yours. Pretty sure they were 360/420 to be exact, just the other day someone locally here argued that 400+whp out of the stock turbo was impossible

yeah 346whp on airboy's spreadsheet is like 380-390whp dynojet

and lets not talk about the torque 450wtq + on a dynojet

I am scared with stock internals, but 26psi would be the target, if possible, with forged internals.

Yup, I think we were getting close to 95% by the end. It would be fun to build inside and see what the limits of those injectors are. I know that DW has some "true" 1000cc and that might be what it would take to run the E85 with this turbo at 26psi.

Sorry, no plans to build any time soon. I will go through tires fast enough with the torque as is

26psi is no problem on stock internals with e85 and proper tuning, guys go 30+ with race fuel. Its not so much the boost pressure that blows engines its everything else related to the tune!
