Hmm...Im debating between the General Altimax Arctic and the Michelin Xi3 for the pacific north west.
I drive 90% in the city: 35% dry. 50% wet. 8% slush, and 7% snow. Temperature is typically around a few degrees above freezing, but does occasionally drop to below. Any suggestions?

205/65-R16 will these fit?
I have a set of 205/65-R16 Blizzak WS70's mounted on steelies that were used on a Forester. Will these work on a 2013 Impreza Sport Limited?

Right, I have a 2012 WRX 5DR Hatchback. The thing is that I want a set of tires that are good in the winter cold weather / snow. THING is, I want to buy a set from Tirerack.com that comes with the Rims. I can't seem to understand the whole Tires thing... Would anyone like to suggest a certain type of tire for cold weather / occasional snow ( New York ). I want to buy them with the Wheels as well ass I don't have proper tools to swap out tires on my stock wheels. Also, I find it easier to just change the wheels.

What brands are good and what kind of tires are good.
Performance Snow, Studdless Snow, Studdable Snow, Ice and Snow, and etc. Which ones are good for an Impreza that needs grip in the cold and can handle snow if there is any >.<? Smart idea to stick w 17" inch rims w tires? Getting some glacier grip II. Should be an interesting winter. More like wet and slush but should hold up fine?
Guys I would assume that 16's would be ideal for any car during the winter. |

Not for a car with brakes too large to fit under 16" wheels.

Does anyone know if a set of 215/55/R16 will fit for the winter on a 2013 STi base sedan
My mom bought these as a winter set for her C320 and they are 10mm too wide (205's is what she needs) They are bridgestone Blizzaks WS-15's with full tread left. |

^ Not even close. Your car has 18" dia wheels, and your front brakes will not acomodate anything smaller than 17", and they are picky about that.

Just ordered a 2013 wrx, should be here at the end of November.
I currently have steel wheels with new hankook winter tires mounted. Steel Wheels: 16x6.5 +39mm 5x100 Now from a "will it fit" standpoint I know they will fit; but am I doing any damage with such a wide variation in offset from the OE specs (+53) Thanks! |

I've been running Blizzak's for the last few years - WS70's currently, but I'm considering changing over to the Dunlops... The weather is hit or miss up here in Boston.. When it snows, we usually get a few inches but there will be large stretches of no snow... The WS70s were great and no complaints other than them being real mushy... Anyone run the Dunlops in some decent weather?
