Yeah, but you have to admit that doesn't look like it's a 2.5i-fitment unless the entire rest of the system is custom as well but it's the 06+ guys that are doing most of the fapping. Without a top-down shot, it's also hard to determine if it's an EL 4-2-1 design with really short primaries or a 4-2-1 UEL design that's not as UE as the reps are. Which is confusing because the thread started as a RS-fitment UEL, then got off track talking about EL, then got off track talking about i-fitment. I have NO idea what the final result is at this point

So you're defending RaceFaceXC for his unhelpful answer and then siding with me about the confusion surrounding this header.... Honestly he wasn't being helpful. I respect him as a valued NASIOC member, and he has definitely contributed more than I ever will. So have you williaty. But it was still a douche move. Can someone with authority (read moore) please clear the air with these headers? What designs did you guys land on? full UEL? 2006+? 2008+? Do we have to buy a new cat? How "bolt on" are these? Thanks for your hard work guys. A lot of us N/A member's are looking forward to a quality header. |

Also, why does this header use V-band? Doesn't that eliminate a lot of aftermarket customization? I mean, does the N/A market really need race quality V-Band piping? Can we request a 2/3 bolt flange instead?

I'm not trying to be a dick and call out newbs, nor am I defending forum regulars. I just call them like I see them. If this turns into a political popularity contest then everyone should go **** themselves for enabling it. Myself included if you feel I was a contributing factor to the douchebaggery. Now lets get back to informative useful questioning and discussion and stop being so god damn sensitive about who said what to who and how long they have been a NASIOC member. There are plenty of founding members who are ****s too |

And to answer your question, initial fitment is UEL and for early RS models. We hope to offer a full lineup at some point, but with other parts in development (both n/a and turbo), it's hard to say when that will happen. But I will say if you have a test car that can be left for a period of time (we're not talking a week here), then we can make any of these fitments happen. Discounts given for test cars of course. SWPA/OH region cars preferred for proximity's sake. Good question. it was a customer option. You're right - v-bands aren't the norm, so a 2/3 bolt flange would make sense, and may make its way into final production. The V bands are pretty sweet though, especially when it comes to trans pulling time |

How long would you need the test car for? I might be able to lend you my RS.

My car is already being loaned to them for all the test fitting and dyno'ing. I am very excited to see how it sounds and the power it makes. Should make the autox season a very fun one.

Thanks for keeping the thread going and providing detailed info as the questions are asked! I've been a little swamped with other projects and I do appreciate the time spent focusing on this thread and those who are interested. As was already mentioned, our goal is to build custom parts if requested by a customer to meet his or her specific goal and budget, but along the way be able to perform some R&D to bring production parts to the table at more affordable prices. With custom requests we collaborate with the owner as well as our designers, fabricators and engineers to provide the customer with the highest quality, custom piece for their car. I personally am very excited about this header and we're preparing to create the cat (or catless) pipe that will connect the header to the catback, after a baseline test is run on the DynoJet with the car's current configuration. We're happy to provide exhaust options and customization to the N/A crowd and after further testing we will take a look at production options and pricing. As many of you are aware, the process of creating, testing and eventually making production items is usually not a quick one, but I promise we are moving in a forward direction and we will post dyno results as soon as we have them! I appreciate every ones enthusiasm and interest in this first header and we'll keep you posted! |

Were going to be doing some fab work this weekend at the shop on the midpipe and we're going to do our best to get the car on the dyno this weekend as well! I'll update with any news!

Awesome sounding - check.
awesome fitting - check. awesome performing - well....it needs the ability for tuning! 11.xx afr's aren't cutting it. It still crushes any other 2.5 rs' that have been on this dyno though - over 20 mustang rwhp over stock in both torque and hp. we're going to re-base line it, and put the baseline and the untuned header/exhaust numbers on the same graph for y'all. |
