Twin injectors per cylinder
So has anyone made a twin injectors setup for there Scooby ??
I only ask as I'm fitting a DTA ECU that has 8 injector drivers, and was just thinking out loud ?? Would the lower end drive ability be better seeing as your nor using 1000cc injectors just for tick over ?? Could even fit a race gass cell in the Boot for the other injectors maybe.... Please don't shoot me down, just constructive banter please.... Cheers Clive

If you can get the APS TGV's they had bosses in them to run a second set of injectors. I've also seen people modify intake manifolds to take a second set of injectors so it has been done before.
Now as to how you plan on controlling them, that's another story. I've seen single-point, multi-point, sequential, group/staged, and sequential/staged control for fueling control in my ECU but never anything like you describe like shutting one set down completely to run the second set on another fuel. Have you looked to see if the DTA ECU could handle something like that? |

The way I've seen it mapped before you leave the normal injectors on at say a ceiling of 80% duty then start to run the 2 set at the same time, you start to get a boost in Octane level, and might have to use a transient table to help.... but basicaly use all 8 at once...

I think there's also an advantage at the higher rpm's to have the second set of injectors further up the manifold, giving the fuel more time to atomise. Most Pure race engine's used to have the injectors above the throttle bodies (Dribble on butterfly I think they used to call it)
like this :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2iBbwocYZw and I know the DB9R Le Mans car used it aswell..... |

would be cool to have dedicated injectors at each cylinder for meth/water injection, then you would know each cylinder is getting the same mix.
