Current FP HTA86 STI Projects
We have been hard at work this winter working on some projects
This is my STI with Cosworth engine internals and sleeves On my STI I went with the excelently executed APS TSR70 turbo kit which I upgraded to a FP HTA86

This is a customer's car we are building at the same timw which has the same sleeves and Cosworth internals. The attention to detail and quality of attention to detail is really superb on this car. Our Ferrari master technician has been working very hard on this build.
I'll have more updates and videos, etc as we get these cars broken in and onto the dyno Al |

I take it you're still using the T3 flange? What exhaust housing?
Who makes those sleeves? Wat? If you ask me it's got some serious issues. T3 flange, contorted downpipe, header cracking issues. Although, I suppose it's cheap in comparison to a UR or FR setup. Hope it works out for ya. Should be interesting to see the results of a big HTA comp running twinscroll. |

^^^I know Al's car has Darton sleeves and I'm sure the other car is the same.

From what I have seen they make the best designed and highest quality parts for Subarus I know that their old design headers had some cracking issues but this is a new design and I have seen many olther brand headers crack as well Although the down pipe does have a turn in it given its diameter and design I don't feel it will have a significant impact on performance The back housing is a T3 1.06 twin scroll which is capable to run high 8's / low 9's on an Evo and make mid 700 whp which is the goal of this car After installing the APS turbo kit, I am very pleased with the fit, design, value and I would not consider changing it. Even if I loose a few whp on the down pipe bend its well worth it to have a uppipe flange that wont pop out and leak every two weeks and having serious well designed turbo supports, etc We'll see how the project turns out |

It will be interesting to see the difference between the car with the Magnus intake and the stock one. I haven't heard many good things about the Magnus one.

Where's the proven power? Pretty pics are already up in the Built Motor discussion or are we advertising here, again .
Just saying... I seriously doubt mid 700hp on most dynos. |

What brand cores do the APS intercoolers use? Are they good at reducing temps from what you've seen Al... say compared to a buschur race fmic for the evo?

Its one killer project no matter how you look at it. I'm sure most of us can appreciate a build of this magnitude. It takes Time! Vids and dyno graphs will be posted soon enough, just enjoy all the nice pics until then! |

While it is always a pain in the ass to install and requires careful attenton to porting to match the injector and head - it has consistantly performed really well in terms of power delivery The one with the Magnus intake is our customer's car which Also has the P & L Turbo Kit which is certainly a really impressive unit The materials, contruction and design are great - I will take a few shots of the turbo kit later this evening Al |

I am hoping that the APS unit performs well based on its sheer size. I have had good results with it on various customer builds in the past - however - I never logged the data to test its efficency. I will be pushing it on my car and will report honest results. if it doesn't work it will get tossed. Al |

I am very exicted about these cars and wanted to share the results. We have a '08 build with HKS parts and a P & L turbo kit and fmic in the works also that will get a V Pro. Lots of nice Subaru projects. Al |
