Satisfaction Solo Just ±34 Hours Away
The Arctic Alaska Region, of the Sports Car Club of America, will be sanctioning the Satisfaction Solo at Houston Middle School on Saturday, June 6th. Event Chairman Bill Demming invites all autocross enthusiasts to join us for a challenging course and an afternoon of drive time. To quote Al Mills — “we're going to see some familiar faces and good times! Seat time, smiles and Solo — what is a better way to spend the day...!"
Online registration is open until 5PM on Friday, June 5th at www.alaskascca.motorsportreg.com, so save time Saturday morning and help the Region by registering online. Houston Middle School is located off the Parks Highway at Hawk Lane, just north of the Big Lake cut-off. Schedule for Saturday Morning 8:00AM - Solo Team Arrival 10:00-10:30 AM — Onsite Registration Open 10:15 AM — Tech Inspection & 11:00 AM Driver's Meeting All competitors will need to come by the Registration Table upon arrival — both those who registered online and those who choose to register at the event either morning. Note that Registration is only open for 30-minutes. You will then head to Tech for your vehicle inspection. It is best to arrive early so you'll have time to settle your gear, prepare your car, get through Tech, and have time to walk the course! Our Driver's Meeting will include a brief talk by the Safety Steward and the Solo Team will cover the responsibilities each of your will have while working corners during your "work group"! This event is a go—rain or shine—and as you'll be working opposite your "run group" please bring hats, layers for body warmth, sunblock/lipschitz, and foot wear for the elements. Our Solo Team are providing lunch for Competitors and Workers, as there are no restaurants nearby, so you will not be able to leave the site to travel into Big Lake or Wasilla. Their shopping will be based on those who utilized pre-registration, so don't delay — register today! Saturday will be hot dogs, salads 'n chips (and no doubt cookies). Water will be provided by the Region. Please arrive early to allow time to settle your gear, prepare your car, and get through Tech Inspection before the Walk-Thru. Remember, all loose items will need to be out of your car and your battery will need to be solidly secured—no bungee cords! Don't forget your valid Driver's License!
