Default Lost Oil Pressure ?? how does the oil system work 500hp sti

a few questions and then the story of what happened

How does the oil travel threw the block?
where is the oil pump located ?
where is the pressure release valve for the oil pump?

just got my turbo rebuilt,
installed it and went to break it in for 2 days, the next day, cold morning start it up and pull out of the garage and dropped all my oil down the driveway. looked under the car and the oil ring on the oil filter blew out (it was on tight), so did a replay on my gauge set and oil pressure hit the end of the gauge over 10bar like approx 150psi pressure. and so i added oil and new filter and I HAVE NO OIL PRESSURE at all on the gauge.

do you think i blew the pump
and what do you think stopped the oil from moving in the system to casue the pressure to go so high
could the turbo have been rebuilt to tight and the oil could not pass by it (chra)
would the turbo blocking the oil casue the pressure to go high ? or are there other pressure releases?

What block is this? And where is your turbo feed from?

Not sure how oil travels through the block, it moves a lot inside the block. Oil Pump is located right behind your main pulley right on the front. Oil pump I am not aware of a pressure release valve. Of course when the engine is OFF then the pump is not spinning therefore you won't have oil pressure. I'm not sure what the stock oil pressure reading is but I know it should be fairly high. When you changed out the filter did you change out all of the oil? Perhaps you are running too little oil? I don't really know of a way to rebuild the turbo to block the oil, but stuff can always break and obstruct a line or something like that.

Who knows, but it must have been pretty important for him to bump a thread that's over a year old.
