FS: '85 MR2, lots of new parts.
'm selling my red '85 MR2 with black/red interior, located in Columbia, MD. The body has ~174K on it.
Here is a list of parts put on during the past 2 years: Engine (at ~140K): brand new 4AGE block rebuilt head from Clearwater Cylinder Head (http://cylinder-heads.com/) new oil pump new water pump new timing belt new crank shaft timing pulley New stock engine mounts (except for the left one) Brakes (at ~165K): 87+ upgrade (larger rotors and caliper brackets) 4 rebuilt calipers whatever pads came with the calipers 4 new rotors from Napa Russel SS brake lines New brake cylinder Valvoline Synpower brake fluid Suspension (~150K to ~165K): KYB GR-2 fronts Tokico HP rears 4 Twos 'R Us ball joints Toyota rear tie rods Twos 'R Us suspension bushing kit (front, rear, and steering rack) Front stock strut bar from a hard-top Steering: Inner and outer tie rods Inner steering rack bushing Interior: New ignition lock (old one started getting stuck) No radio (I removed it) Audio harness is cut (no connector) 8 speakers - 2 4" in dash, 2 4" under seats, 2 3.5" in B-pillars, 2 6"x9" behind seats E-bay short shifter Cheap Pilot D-shaped steering wheel Exhaust (~150K): Header from FX16 (mine had the infamous 4th runner crack) Rock Auto downpipe (which needs to be replaced again, has a leak at the flex joint) HKS muffler Oxygen sensor Other: Starter (replaced ~5K ago) Optima battery AFM mod Extra parts (not installed): White passenger-side rear quarter panel Left C-pillar trim (flying buttress) Glass roof spoiler (no Toyota on it) Inner C-pillar trim from newer model (with speaker grilles) Eibach springs Perfection clutch Miata 15" rims with Kumho 711's (installed ~5K ago) Stock front metal lip (not the plastic piece that goes at the very bottom) Now for the bad - this car is a rust bucket. It has rusted-through floors, which I covered with fiber-glass. It has a rusted-through rear passenger quarter panel and some other small spots of rust. It leaks oil from the oil-pressure sending unit (I didn't wrap the threads with teflon tape, and never got around to fixing that). AC doesn't work (has no freon, but the compressor is good). One of the AC lines in the front is kinked due to an accident the PO had. Due to that accident, the front bumper is messed up, the upper radiator frame is slightly bent (doesn't affect alignment), and the front bumper is missing the metal lip. The parking brake doesn't work, because the parking brake cross member bolts have broken inside their thread holes. The horn doesn't work (probably due to the Pilot steering wheel), but I will include the stock steering wheel. The pressure plate will need to be replaced soon, though the clutch disc is good. The cooling system is leaking somewhere due to old hoses. I'm asking for $1600 (the car will have stock rims/tires, and I will include the clutch kit, and new cooling system hoses.) $2000 if you also want the Miata rims/tires, Eibach springs, rear roof spoiler, and the quarter panel. Pictures coming soon (probably tonight). Thanks, -Daniel
