Default How much mileage to expect from PZero M+S?

Strongly considering Pirelli PZero Nero M+S but I'm reading conflicting opinions on TireRack about how many miles to expect from them. Treadwear rating is 400 compared to the RE92 160, but I can't believe I can get more than 2x as much life out of the Pirelli.

What kind of lifespan are you guys getting from your PZero M+S? I'm not a very hard on tires in general and got 35k from the RE92.

Thanks in advance!

I can't help on with regards to the life of the tire, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that the treadwear rating on tires can't be compared between brands (so a 400 on a pirelli isn't necesarrily 2x the treadlife of a 200 goodyear for example). They are only useful when comparing tires made by the same manufacturer.... for what its worth.

What treadwear rating printed on the tire is determined by the manufacturer, and there is no real standard test, so comparing different tires can be misleading. Having said that they are a general indication of how long a tire should last. My guess is that every 100 units gets you about a year of life under normal useage. The RE92's last about a year and a half and the Pzero Neros M+S's should last about four years. If you drive like a granny they may last longer, if you autoX they may only last half that long.

Thanks, I understand the treadwear rating is little value. I hope to get some people's real world experience with the tire.

I don't think they've been on the market for that long. Only about two years.

I look to be getting about 20k miles out of them. They are on a break right now for the summer and will be put back on in the fall.

For reference, I only got 13k and 15k out of two sets of RE92s.

I have roughly 15K miles on mine with plenty left to go. My RE92 were close to gone at 15K miles. If you got 35K out of those, these tires should last the rest of your life.....just kidding.....well, actually.....maybe not.

Oh, by the way, these tires are great. You'll be happy with them.

I'm amazed that the Pirelli with so much more traction is lasting longer than the RE92's! I really appreciate everyone's advise.
