Not much has changed. Car is still Sitting in ks. Jr got the 2000's in the mail the other day so those should be arriving soon.

Me being indecisive sold the 5mt with fear of snapping it with only a break in map. So I'm on the search for a decently priced long gear ratio 6mt. Plan is to go back to ks the last week of July and stick the drivetrain back in and then trailer the car to Texas and get to tuning!

Another update, the car is now in Texas with me. Waiting on some revisions on the tune. But the car starts and idles, even got to drive it around the block a couple times! Can't wait to get some miles on it and start turning it up.

Hoping to have the motor broke in and the 93oct map all lined out by the 29th. Would love to get the car on the dyno at SCT Houston, and make a few rips down the track. May do it even on a low boost map if I have to!

Will do, I'll be there regardless if the car can make it. I would at least like to see what it makes on 93 though.

Thanks, and will do. Must say everytime I get home or leave for work, I see the car and get excited for days off! Going to have to limp it down for inspection on Wednesday to get Tx tags. Been limping it around on out of date Ks tags!

Well the car isn't making SCT Houston. Haven't gotten the tune ironed out yet. Also waiting on parts to put an exhaust on the car, apparently 2ft of 3.5" out the hood doesn't work in Tx.

Who would ever guess that would be an issue? They told me it was a safety inspection! Ha. Oh well already built a down pipe, just make a short exhaust to get it passed the front seats Friday morning. Then throw the hood exit back on and run it!

Well I finally got the car inspected and tagged in Texas today. Time to ditch the full exhaust and go back to the hood exit!

Throw another update out there. Not much has changed car still isn't tuned completely. I've been running it about at 14psi on a pig rich 93 map has 5 oil changes now(changing it often sense the engine is fresh.) haven't had any metal on the drain plug or in the filters. So it appears the break in went well.

Car is about to have the oil cooler setup installed, now that break in is through. Car is making right at 100psi so it should be ready to rev, it's definitely a top end build. Hopefully JR can get the tuned ironed out soon.

Also about to start fabing up a forward face setup with a half radiator. Just trying to find a smaller ac condenser first, I'm not willing to give up ac living in south TX.

Well it's got a few issues but has a solid e85 tune. JR is the man, I don't hate my car as much now.

No check valve in the brake booster line. And car wasn't wanting to go to 4th under load.

Car ever get dyno'd? How does it feel driving around town? Im currently in the process of building my own destroker but after seeing you can put +4mm rods im going to do more research before buying my rods.

Default MPS 2.34 destroker, S363 build.

Street tuned no dyno. Car feels strong, were around 30psi right now. I fixed the issues and I will be ordering a larger intercooler core and KB holy header and turn it up more. My set up is definitely lazy, but drives fine around town.

And honestly if/when this motor fails it will get a 2.5 not worth the hassle when a 2.5 can rev just as well.

Why? What are you reving the motor too? I plan on reving to atleast 9k+ ..i know 2.5 can rev to 9 but how reliably? I have herd numerous times how unbalanced the 2.5 is to rev to 9k

Default MPS 2.34 destroker, S363 build.

There's plenty of 2.5's taken to 9k without issue. I'm only spinning to 8200 now, will probably turn it up some after verifying my autometer oil pressure gauge. And your going to have it all balanced and clearances perfect so it's not really a big issue. I feel like I left a lot of power potential on the table with the loss of displacement in all honesty. The 2.34's haven't impressed me like I was hoping, and not just mine.

What head/cam combo you got going on? For me it was a pretty noticeable difference in powerband shape and feel between the 2.5 and the 2.34L. My 2.34 TQ curve was board flat(for a Subaru) and while lower than the 2.5, made more Hp at redline.

ASF chamber matched s20 castings with a mild port and polish, +1mm valves, BC springs & retainers, kelford 282 intake, 278 exhaust.

What turbo were you running? And how much power did you make?

Don't get me wrong, the car makes power. I'm taking it to the track this weekend, should trap well! My r160 may **** itself though.
