Haven't driven around with it yet, but I can't tell a difference in feel so far. I actually kinda prefer my previous Alcantara wrapped wheel (just so much...softer).

It's leathered correct?

Yeah, this one is leather. Perforated on the sides and regular leather on the top/bottom.

Send it to JPM Coachworks.

The actual feel of the car when you are driving with that wheel is much better. It is amazing how a small change like that can alter the driving experience.

^Take his word on how it feels, I'll probably do some jedi mind tricks on myself to think that it's gonna be an awesome mod.

As for getting it wrapped: if anything, I'll just rewrap it myself should I crave some Alcantara on it, did it last time and was very pleased with my tailor's needlework.

Problem is that I shed a lot, which in turn makes my Alcantara shift knob pretty nasty looking. I can only imagine what a long term alcantara wheel will look like.

I did a leather and Alcantara combo.

That's the GT-spec isn't it? I did the same for my WRX's stock wheel:

(Also notice the grey stuff on top of the shift knob. Eww.)

Didn't you have something where the SI drive controls would be?

The display for my audio processor. That is actually coming out as well as a different processor is being delivered next week. It will be two knobs that control the new one.

Not for long. They are junk. The boost gauge crapped out and I am starting to wonder how accurate the oil pressure gauge actually is. There are more plans for the interior and when that is done I will be switching to Defi to match my Innovative wide band gauge.

It's UV resistant, so holds up much better than the fake stuff redline goods sells. Mine doesn't show a hint of fade (nor do stock Alcantara seats from '09 STi's I guess).

Perfect. It is incredibly durable and designed for automotive applications. Alex (JPM) took out an A Pillar from his car that had been parked outside for 2 years and the material still matched new material.
