I ordered and ISM base hatch, short throw shifter, cargo mat, all weather mats, rear cup holder. Nothing too crazy so I'm expecting it to take the 10-12 weeks, but I know it could be less or more. Just tryin' to stay patient but failing most days.

I hit eight weeks this past Friday. The good news is, I found out my car was one of the 10/8 cars on hold, and since they've been released, any day now. It'll probably make it in sometime this week. Still have to wait until Friday to pick it up.

Picked her up yesterday. Waxed, wheels, lip. Still have the flaps, tint, and headlight projects to do, but for now, I'm happy! Good luck to all still waiting, and I'll see you in the other threads!

Real nice especially with the wheels. I am waiting on my WRX in cbs and the wait is killing me. Most seem to order wrb or swp but I just love a black car.

The v-limited eBay lip. Took a heat gun to shape it right, but I dig it.

Easy install. Just make sure you have access to a heat gun, not a hair dryer. Would've taken forever with a hair dryer.

Dstorm what headlamps are you upgrading to? Are they plug and play with the OEM housing, or are you doing the whole bake in oven to separate & ect.

Mine is also CBS.
I love a black car as well.

Mine will be 100% custom though, I look to change mostly everything about it to make sure it's not shared with anyone else.

Going shake and bake, and doing angel eyes while I'm at it. It'll be a while before I have a full day to devote to that project though. I have a limited, so I already have HIDs.

Angry kitteh...so worth the wait.

If you are on the Nov allocation, a ship has left Yokohama heading for the first stop of Virgina 4-5 days ago and is mid pacific ocean right now. That's probably the Nov allocation for Subaru for east coast, probably be in port in 2-3 weeks in RI

I am 99% sure the ship with the Subarus on it destined for Davisville, RI has just docked in Baltimore this evening. Next stop is RI.

There is also an outside chance that another car carrier planning on porting in RI tonight/early morning could have the Subarus, but I think it more likely a Kia or Mazda ship.

Hey first let me say I feel your pain waiting for your cars!

Serious question though... Why don't those of you who are waiting for base or limited WRX cars just check dealers for "in transit" vehicles and find a salesperson that will get you to the dealership to buy one? Do you get a better deal?

I get those who want navi or a specific color STI, but to special order a base with floor mats and a cargo liner seems like a needless wait. Are we lucky here in nor-cal? I can find any color 4 or 5 door base and most limiteds "in transit" and the dealers seem willing to call you in on short notice to just "pick one up."

At least that's how I got the exact car I wanted in less than a week...

That's why being in a much more highly populated area is helpful. Try going to a dealer in Idaho, specifically southeast Idaho. Dealers don't carry them and won't get one in unless you actually order one.

3 weeks down and counting...

2013 STI SWP (5 Door)
Wheel locks, Cargo tray, AW mats, Security sensor, AD mirror/compass.

Ordered: 9/29 (Beard Subaru of Hyannis, MA)
VON: 10/10
Allocation#: 1114 (Subaru of New England)

The wait isn't bothing me one bit. I'm in no rush as I've waited my whole life to one day own a brand new STI...

I'd be okay with an even longer wait to save and put more money down.

Congrats to everyone who has recieved their cars! I'm looking most forward to having those heated seats, its starting to get cold here in Rhode Island.

- Alex.

Default Ok finally some pics

Again, picked up my car 10/19/12 from Grand Subaru. Get with Dan D'Andrea, he'll hook you up with a great price and great service!

I have a set of Drag DR 38 in 17x8 with Nitto Motivo 255/40/17 as my daily driver wheel/tire setup. Took the car through the twisties yesterday and handled like a champ. The car is surprisngly roomier (passenger cabin only) and more refined for long distance cruising (and better gas mileage it seems!) than my 2002 Subaru Forester S. Looks like the STI is my new family road trip car as well .

My impression is that it drives EERILY similar to my brother's 2005 STI, which I don't mind at all. The pictures below are without a car detail. I've spent 5 hours last night prepping the car (wash, rewash, claybar, polish) for an opticoat application. Will apply the opti coat tonight. Then it's on to clearbra and tint!

I've wanted this car since I first drove my bro's '05 STI back in 2006. I pinch myself everyday now

The Leo Leader is due in port on 11/15. I believe it is Baltimore also. Could be wrong about port. It made a stop in Hawaii and Mexico. Not sure if it stopped anywhere else.

Not sure what is on that ship outside a Forester we are waiting for.
