I would price out some Crosstrek parts as well, if you are gonna upgrade the car with plastic, those bits look pretty nice...

I'm with you here. I think it will help the motor to spin up a little quicker and with my cvt it should "catch" sooner so with better throttle response it should be more fun. I wouldn't mind a few extra mpg's either.

yeah x2 interested. I've seen the rear strake kit but didn't think installing the side skirts was necessary.
I don't think aero splash guard necessary looks good. I've seen some members' sports model with only the strake kit and it looks nice. I'm planning on getting mudflap rally armor anyways. |

I installed mine about 2000 miles ago. Its not hard to do. You just need some man power to break the threads on the bolt. I'd say it feels a little more responsive and I get on average .6 - .9 better mpgs. It feels a little better at the lower rpms. I'm happy with it

Im a single dad raising my boy on my own so mods are kinda a special treat that requires a lot of planning for ahead of time. So far we got our sport mesh grill in dgm on our obp car.. more to come in the future but the little man comes first. Hence why I know about the skirts lol. I read and drool. A lot. |

I did read in one of these threads someone pricing crosstrek flares and sides at the dealer to the tune of $700 or something insane.. I havent checked myself yet but I hope thats not the case. That naked plastic of the xv kit would tie into the front end and my unpained mirrors nicely. Going for that nudist look.

What you're referring to as "rocker panels" is what we're referring to as "side skirts" above. The side skirts on the Sport Premium install over the true rocker panels, and the strake kit mounts over the side skirts.

People have seen gains with cold air intakes. I owned a 2001 RS and highly considered getting one. Back then, though, they didn't protect as well against not sucking stuff in. They're much better these days. |

So, after careful consideration and research, I've decided I want to upgrade the sway bar. I can't help but notice the understeer of the car and feel that if it leaned less and understeered less it would be darn near perfect for what it is. So, question, should I go for the STI 19mm sway bar or the Perrin 22mm? I only ask as I'm not sure how dramatic a difference the 19mm will make over the Perrin 22. Also, has anyone put a larger sway bar on the front, and would there be any good reason to?

Frankly, while I am otherwise very happy with my base Impreza, this is in my opinion, a collection of egregious errors on the part of SUBARU, and with no OEM option for having the feature installed, it shows they don't care to even attempt to fix the errors. |

It isn't an error. The base model of the Impreza does not have all of the features of the Premium or Limited or Sport.
They make different models for a reason. However, you are right that the salesperson should have told you what the different trims offered, if they didn't, why didn't you ask? Last edited by Zeeper; 01-29-2013 at 02:14 PM. |

CARS101.COM is your research friend. Joe normally does a good job at recapping what is and is not available on all Subaru Models...http://www.cars101.com/
