Yes! Tyler is getting a Subaru dealer.
After 10 long years, Tyler is back on the map!
Crown Subaru closed back in 02-03. Now, Peltier Subaru will be on Loop 323 across from their Nissan store. I haven't been this excited since... ever!

Hmmm
This makes me VERY VERY sad...not because we are getting a dealership in Tyler...no, but because it is a Peltier dealership. This means the famous subaru support and customer service will not be there. Peltier is probably the worst dealership for that from Dallas to Shreveport. They will do anything to get out of fixing crap they sell....."oh you changed your tires?...I think that voids the warranty..." "oh you bought your car from a different dealer, but the issue you are having is still under warranty? well, you will have to pay us labor to fix that since you didn't buy it from us." and that is just a few things I have experienced personally with them. I know plenty of other people who have had similar issues. Don't be suprised if they try to void you warranty and not fix **** they break if you have them install SPT items when you buy the car.
I am glad Subaru is coming back to Tyler...I just wish it would have been someone else to do it. |

^ I've heard similar stories. They won't last too long if they don't step it up. I'm going to be rating them against Sewell and SOP, so they better bring it.

thats awesome. I lived in Longview for a longtime. During that time I was rebuilding my bug eye so any parts I needed I would either have to wait for them to ship. or drive over to DFW to pick up some parts. Maybe there will be more of a subie scene over there! Now I live in ft worth!

Ehh, can't speak for Tyler but Lufkin only has like 3 Subarus and an Evo.
I know I see a STi at Best Buy here all the time, I've seen a newer WRX driving around, and my Saabaru. I saw another Subaru one day, but only once. However, there is a guy here who makes a living flipping supercars.. We've been there a few times to look around. He always has multiple Ford GTs, Lamborghinis, GT500s, you name it. |

Isn't that the same guy that dumped the Veyron down near Galveston a few years back?

Hah, no.
He does live here, though. And the fellow who does that building is related to him. That fellow who did that still has multiple super cars. |

I might visit it once or twice. I have been to Sewell and they have been pretty good with me.

^ Yes, Sewell has been nothing but great to me. Randall Noe in Terrell did beat their pricing on my Legacy Limited last week by $1500 though.
Found this about the new Tyler dealership: http://www.tylerpaper.com/article/20...NESS/130209769 |

If dealer is trying to play games with you about warranty just call SOA and have them sort it out.

I went by a few times and spoke with some of the employees and they said. They wanted to do some car meets and tap into the car scene. Not sure if they will but I'm willing to support them. My STi needs a good place for service.

Was talking with the guy across the street at the used car Peltier service department 2 weekends ago. He seemed to be a well versed Subi mechanic and seemed to have a passion for them. Think he might move over there and be there service tech when they open. It would be a change from all the other "Yer kar don't need that type O fluid" & the oh so sly "I changed yer fuel filter when i serviced it" Ohhhhh really? Well,, was the bottom of the tank dirty fella? Huh?

^ My 04 WRX was under the hood, but I digress...
You aren't at the hospital by chance are you? I'm at the bank next door. I've had 6 different Subarus since I first saw yours. 04 WRX, 06 STI, 10 Fozz, 11 3.6R, 12 WRX, 13 Legacy. And the wife's had 2 OB's. I've got issues. |

Boosted by there late one night dropping a friend off at Allen Samuels Dodge. Guess the dealers heard the BOV and were motioning me to turn in. Hahaha Like they were starving for some Subi loVin'. LMAO!

You wouldn't be interested in attending car meets in Lufkin, would you? That's not too terribly far away. I know I live in Huntington and we play yall in Football every year almost. |

Would be a nice drive. Use to live in Lufkin for a year. hit the friend button and message me when the summer meets kick off. I'm a lethal service welder, and sometimes they let me out of the cage for a weekend. LmAo. hehehehe
