Question Can the keyless entry be changed to open ALL 4 doors with 1 click?

I find the keyless entry a pain in that I need to click the remote button more than once to open all 4 doors. I'd prefer to have all 4 doors unlock on the first click instead.

Has anyone managed to mod their system to do such a thing?

Thanks,
David

I imagine this wouldn't be too difficult, but I only have one concern.

There should be 10 wires going out to the door locks. One pair of wires for each door. One wire for lock, and one for unlock. for each door. I would think you could splice all the unck wires to the unck wire for the driver's door which would unlock all the doors.

The only concern is the power requirements to unlock all the doors at the same time. It might be too much of a draw for the unlock module. If that's the case, you could go to Radio Shack and get a cheap (<$10) automotive relay and us the unlock pulse for the front drivier door to activate this relay. This relay would then send 12 volts to all the doors. This is assuming that they are 12 volt solenoids to unlock the doors.

Does anybody have schematics or know where these lock/unlock wires are?

The stock alarm already unlocks them all, you just have to press the button twice to get to do that. So no need to worry about extra relays if it's already doing it. We just need to figure out what it's doing on the second click that's different than the first and that's it.

Mine opens up the doors on the first click and trunk on the 2nd click. Only took a few hours to set up including installing the solenoid.

^^^^ Same here...
I recommend that mod. Otherwise just stop at step two for 1 click door unlocking...
Best of luck and feel free to PM me with ??
