Anyone with TXS Stage 4 and their new TMIC
I am looking for anyone who has added the new TurboXS TMIC to their Stage 4 setup and had their unichip remapped. Since the upgrade and remap what has the but dyno told you.

I have the new TMIC with the stock Stage 4 program. I've noticed some increased power in the midrange. The weathers so hot and humid its hard to compare track times. I ran 8.24 @ 85mph in the 1/8 mile last week in 100 degree heat index.(very hot and humid)
My previous best was 8.18 @ 84 before the new TMIC. This time was done in better weather. (hot but dry) With some better air I'm sure I can beat my previous best. I'm confident I can run high 7s in the 1/8 mile with some cooler drier air. I live in S. Florida were its so hot and humid most the year. Thats why I decided on getting an upgraded IC. If I lived up north where the weather was only hot a few months out of the year I wouldn't get this mod. $1000 is a lot of cash for a relatively small increase in HP. The main thing I noticed with the new IC is the increase in boost pressure. I get about 18psi boost at the setting that used to give me 16psi. So the turbo is working much easier. That should prolong turbo life and reliability. I think that is the most important thing about upgrading the IC. |

I'm not sure there is a remap available yet. So my results are similar to SGOSWRX's.
Overall the car is consistently stronger. Boost response is very good. Here's a good comparison and the only modification was the TXS TMIC: Stock intercooler on cool night, best of 13.00@105 TXS intercooler on hot day (130+ track temp), best of 12.73@108 I can't wait to run on another cool night Erik |

I'm sure there will be an optimized map for you guys soon. I was talking to phil a few weeks back and he said that his car gained about 35hp with the new TMIC, for some reason I forgot to ask if that was wheel HP or est. crank numbers. Either way, thats a huge gain and hopefully there will be something for you guys to pull out similar gains.

IIRC there is a map for it now, but there was not when it was first released.

My tranny is still in one piece (knock on wood). Try to be nice to it
Drag launch is something like 5000rpm slipping the clutch off the floor. As for the map... I will check to see if they really have one. The 35hp Phil gained was because of the TMIC and the new ECU they have. Erik |

I may just hold off for now, get the Utec when it comes out and then pick up the new I/C next spring before it gets hot here again.

n20x3whitewrx,
Try lowering your boost as you may be running a little leaner than optimal, which may cause your ecu to pull timing. If you are running a stage 2 kit lower your boost to about 15.5psi. You can also send back your Unichip and we'll add more fuel. If you are running a stock turbo, it's not likely you will pick up +30HP like the STG4 guys. In the quarter mile they are picking up about 3mph (108-109) which equates to about 30 more HP at the wheels. Phil TurboXS |
