So far, no mention of DUNE color. Currently, Dune is not an option for the 10th anniv rubicon.

Metal bumpers too, and apparently the front one is a winch mount.

The bumper actually has removable corners for maximum rock crawling. The press pictures are not displaying anvil too well.

So far, I think I made the right decision going with a 12mw3 jeep.

went up to hidden falls adventure park outside marble falls texas this last weekened with a bunch of jeep people (we were missing one toyota guy). had a good time. at the end of the day i had not broken anything, so i tried to climb out of a dried up waterfall. spare tire touched the ground so i called it quits. it made for some good photos though (pics are blurry because the guy using my camera didnt know how to work it in manual)!!

this dude got high centered. they had to put a line on the front and drag him passenger so he could get some traction. it beat up his rear pass fender and tore off the pass tail light.

a few choice shots... nothing too major.

You need my spare tire carrier. That's exactly why I made it the way I did. Well that and better weight distribution.

^im hopefully going to be caging my wrangler this coming year. im at least going to look into getting something like that rigged into the cage since the spare bit me in the butt, but still hopefully be able to keep some storage area and keep it working with a slant back soft top.

if i had a two door i would probably have it permanently mounted where the rear seat is. since i have a four door i get the pleasure of trying to figure out how to mount all that in the itty bitty cargo area i have. i actually want to keep my back seat.

I'm really starting to dig those 4dr hard top Wranglers. Kind of reminds me of a D110

I went by the Jeep dealer today to pick up the 2.5XT kit. Got to talking with their resident modder that handles the custom rigs they build and he sort of convinced me to go 3.5" on the 4dr. Probably a good idea. So, he'll have these in for me on Monday instead:

I also ordered the trick clamps. Figured it would be easier to put them on now....

I'd love to do one in navy blue with a white top, just like the Prefectura use in South America (basically the Argentine version of the Coast Guard)

Finally back into a Jeep of my own:

Picked this little beauty up for a whopping $500, and she runs! It's a '96 Limited with the 5.2 and full time 4WD (249 t-case IIRC). I lucked out since it has a regular u-jointed front drive shaft. Oh, and it's sitting right around 225k miles lol.

So far I've done:

Driver's side door hinge pins, also repaired where the door lock module ripped away from the inner door. This prevented the door from closing and latching shut.

Coolant flush and fill, including flushing the heater core and t-stat. This fixed the issue of no heat out of the vents.

Cleaned IAC, idles much better now, albeit a little low. Looking to test the TPS next.

Both 02 sensors, helped with the surging while driving and cured the CEL.

Still on the list to do is a new/used steering gear box, all new TRE up front, transmission pressure governor and shift solenoid (doesn't shift in 1st when at the stop light, however manually shifting in first works just fine. Fairly common issue with these), t-case and diff fluid changes, and toss on the old set of Maxxis Bighorns we used to run on my wife's WJ.

Lift wise, I think I'll start with the IRO Foundation 3.5" lift kit and pick up a set of new stock front springs for the rear which I can get them locally for $60 a pair. This should give me plenty of clearance for the 31's I have sitting in my basement.

Nothing too crazy since it will be my primary mode of transportation in crappy weather, along with relieving my wife's WJ of it's hunting season duties.

That is pure sex.

I keep thinking about picking up a Disco for the wife, but then I realize what a terrible idea that is
