Default Stock turbo set up from WRX to 99RS

I am going to purchase the WRX header/up pipe/down pipe/turbo everything for the full set up. Now my question is, would there be a problem with the WRX set fitting on MY 99 RS due to crossmember or anything else under the engine bay?

Thanks in advance

Im surprised no one answered you sooner...

Yes, the crossmember will become an issue. You have two options; swap the crossmember or repipe.

1. Find a "Turbo Crossmember" (aka WRX/Turbo Legacy). Retail 330 new, or about 180 used. Using the Turbo Manifold you can then use the WRX Up/Downpipes.

2. Find another piping method. Subachad @ www.uniquemotorsports.com provides up/down pipes that will clear the NA crossmember. about 425 for UP and Down Pipes.

ALSO

Dont forget all the fuel managment, and boost/map issues.

IN addition to the crossmember you will also need to swap to a turbo water pump so the lower radiator hose clears the turbo headers. Also, WRX crossmembers are $180 brand new from subaruparts.com, not $330. You will also need to fabricate a spacer for the up pipe to clear the SOHC heads as the shape on the DOHC heads is somewhat different. I just finished this setup on my car. You can look up my thread from a couple weeks ago where I wnet over my setup. If you have any questions shoot me a PM and I can try and help you out.
