Question Do MY98-99 RS wheels fit on WRX...

...with 225/50/16 Kumho Victoracers? WRX has stock suspension. Want to use for race only. Thanks.

Um, yes it should!

I am using the MY00 rims to clear the 4pots while I get the 17 euro wheels. I had 215-45-17, so yours shoud fit with no prob.

Yes they fit but be aware they are not SCCA Solo II stock class legal because they are wider than the stock 6.5" WRX wheel.

Just in case you were autocrossing.

Ugghhh...yes, I was going to use the set for autox in stock class.
Our rules here are kinda loose so maybe...

Tom (kartboy), did you ever notice if those tires rub on the inside against the strut assembly? Also, I'm afraid to ask but how heavy is that rim/tire combo anyways? Thanks!

they never rubbed on a RS so they will have miles of room on the WRX.

Yeah, you'll get no rubbing problems.

Another idea would be an old set of Legacy GT wheels which are 6.5 wide.

Or, get some 17" wheels/tires for street use and put the autox tires on the stock rims (that's what I used my stock rims for).

Thumbs up Thanks for all the help guys!

OK, I located a set of RS wheels here and will try the 225/50's. This would be the less expensive way to go for me...also, I wanted my factory WRX wheels/tires intact just in case I need to waltz into the dealer for warranty work! They'll still have those cute little nubbies on the tire shoulders! "What? Me race?"
