Might need to swap the steering wheel as well. Comes with controls for the display on the back left side of the steering wheel.

I hope the impreza / wrx stick with the current look. I wouldn't purchase the concept version its ugly.

If I had the cash for a third car the BRZ would be in the running. For about the cost of a motorcycle you get air and a radio plus ass loads of fun. I do hope they come out with an STI version even if I never buy one.

Likely the steering wheel is the same just has a cutout, the Roll Connector however my be different to accommodate the wires. The service manual only shows CAN communication wires.

The roll connector has unused pins in the harness.

Below are some pics of the different screen options.
[...snipped...]
There are many other things that are included with the screen. You can set birthday reminders, maintenance reminders, and a bunch of other stuff I currently dont remember.
This screen really helps you want to get the best gas consumption possible. At times I find myself driving slow and doing anything I can to get the best possible gas consumption. Just today I drove over 150 km right after filling up the tank and the average km remaining stayed at above 700 km for the whole trip.
Useful stuff, but also at times useless.
Thanks! If this site had a reputation system, I'd totally +1 you for that.

Looks like it's a Sport Package trim item. I have the touring package, and have the basic display. If I'd known that the more informative display was available on the Sport Package, I might've been swayed towards getting it.

Having said that, I'm uncertain how long I'll be holding onto this car. I'm seriously considering purchasing a BRZ sometime down the road (perhaps in about 3 years, after they've worked out whatever bugs that might yet surface), and even if I had something like that display in my Impreza, I might still trade it in for the little drifty wonder.

Love the look of the XV hybrid... especially the LED tail lights & the wheels are more my speed than the regular XV ones.

The WRX is hot, I guess they're going metallic with the Subie Blue. The 2012 Impreza concept car had a similar look for the fogs so I'm interested in seeing how this WRX ends up looking. But I like the body.... & the exhaust tips.

Those tails on the XV would look great if they were smoked. Not feeling the all chrome housings.

WD-40 and a paper towel, just make sure you're careful enough to use a good amount of the wd40 so that you're not scratching the paint. and don't rub with the paper towel hard!

also, don't let it drip down the car or you'll be unhappy with the spots it can leave on the trim of the bumper.

Yeah the chrome isn't doing it for me either. I'd love for them to steal a bit of the WRX concept taillight and apply it to the crosstrek, then smoke it a bit.

I didn't do this car yet as I was waiting for the weather to break.. But on my other cars I always used a hair dryer to heat them up, then floss to pop them off. Clean off any remaining gunk with Goo Gone, then wipe clean with water and a towel. lol

I thought the car was doing pretty well on some sandy trails in the Pine Barrens, but then an older guy and his wife casually drove on by in a little Hyundai.

What's your point? That the AWD isn't as necessary as we'd like to think?

For Plasma that is true fact, if you do lay it down you need to let it sit upright for 12 hours before you plug it in, I guess the gas has to resettle or something. That was in the warning on my Panasonic 55 at any rate both on the box and the 'read this first' paper. For LED's I don't think it makes any difference, I have a couple of dozen 27's for a hardware refresh here and all are laying flat with no warnings on the boxes, that is how they came in to my shipping dock on pallets. I will probably stand them all upright a week or two before I start just in case.

After I learned those big screen TV are not supposed to be transported horizontally, I looked up some info and found this from Bestbuy.com:

"Myth: Unlike a plasma TV, it's okay to lay an LCD or LED TV flat when transporting in a car

Reality: Larger LCD and LED TVs are constructed to have their weight balanced when set upright. So if you lay the screen flat, there won't be adequate support in the middle, which can lead to cracking or distortion on the edges if left that way over time. Add in the vibrations while driving a car, and the chance of cracking or distortion only increases"

It doesn't say what size large is but when I get mines, it'll be transported upright.

I'm sure I will enjoy the 19mm rear sway bar.

If anyone has a base Impreza and would like to buy my original 16mm RSB, send me a PM.

Seems to be a lot of yes and no on that, Guess I'll head to the store room after lunch and start un-boxing them so there are no surprises.

Just installed mine during lunch, too. Haven't taken it out yet though, probably will after work.

Literally took me 20 minutes to figure out how to get the endlinks off Then I found a tip online about using an allen wrench to get the nut off. Everything else was pretty easy

Now that I think about it, I've never seen flat screen TV''s in the store laying flat no matter what size it is, always upright. I hope there are no surprises being on pallets, delivered by truck and laying flat. If they came across the BQE out of N.Y., forgettaboutit, good as broke.
