Are you guys talking about a K & N box air filter or the the whole air intake assembly?

thank you for actually letting us know which bulb you got! i've been asking other people for days.

hmm, turns out the one you got is from australia, so i'd have to find something similar here. do you know if you had more room? yours says 25mm x 11mm.

this one http://www.superbrightleds.com/morei...ase-tower/910/

is 39.9mm x 20mm ...

or if you're not sure, would you still happen to have the old bulbs so you can take a measurement?

Just the K&N Box Air Filter that replaces the stock filter.

i rather get the aem which is owned by k&n and it is basically the same filter but it is a dry flow filter that does not need to be oiled like the k&n. it can be cleaned and reuse like the k&n. the good side of not needing to oil is if you happen to over oil the k&n it will not only restrict air flow but also get oil on the maf sensor and mess it up.

True but the oil in k&n's tend to trap more gunk than AEM (I have had both). The more stuff the k&n traps the better it filters (believe it or not).

Anyone have any recommendations on aftermarket shift knobs? I'm looking for something that will snap to to the shift boot like the stock knob, and have so far come up with the Cobb shift knob and the Perrin aluminum knob. Basically I just don't like the feel of the stock knob at all, and would like it if it sat a bit lower than the stock knob as well.

I'd be interested to see ecu airflow readings for the paper vs AEM vs K&N. Subaru is not known for building restrictive intakes, and I don't believe the stock tune is being starved of air.

Anyone else notice that MySubaru.com suggests 3,750 mile oil change intervals vs the manual's 7,500 mile?

time to go start speakers and do my LED's
I just placed an order a couple days ago, 6 quarts of the OE and 6 quarts of the Signature. I figured I would change with the OE in the next couple of weeks, and then by the time spring comes around, use Signature over the summer.

ISO: 2012 Sport Grill.

Anyone get a mesh grill installed and not know what to do with your old stock grill? I'm in need of a stock grill. Hit me up with a PM, or email if you have one.

Now that I have data from Blackstone Labs showing that my oil is good for at least 6500 miles, that has become my new oil change interval (it was 5k miles previously).

There's nothing like data to validate these kinds of decisions.

And how many miles are you planning to put on the OE vs the Signature?

^Good question. OE I'll probably give it between 5,000-6,500 miles, and the Signature, who knows, maybe double that? 10k or so. You sent out analysis for the Signature series right? Maybe I'll spring for a UOA for the Signature series about 5k in to see where it stands

No, my UOA is for OE, and I believe that Flyboy just submitted a sample of Signature for analysis.

Good question on the stock airbox flow rates of stock filter vs AEM/K&N. Would be in for info on that. If it flows plenty fine, that's good for me instead of eventually doing a CAI. I'd rather not if I don't need to. Do any intakes actually work on our car? And equally important, if there are, do you need a tune or anything? I saw a Cobb one, but I think it was for another car, but the lower portion seemed to match (where the cold-air funnel is). Any info on this?

Is there a manufacturer-recommended OCI for these oils? is it 7500?

Correct, with 8252 miles on it :-), I almost wish I had just pulled a sample rather than changing it
