I guess it's good to be on a DDG then but I felt the same as a turbine mechanic, I only naturally would want a turbo on my car.... Can't wait to pick my car up in like 5 days it's been siting for almost two weeks now at the dealership...

Is that OTD price factoring in dealer fee + taxes? I'm guessing not, but "true" OTD on a base invoice STi with no options is pretty much $36k.

Add me to the list.

Ordered on 10/2
2013 WRX Limited 4door
SWP w/Navi

Haven't heard any news other than it's been ordered. Is there any rhyme or reason to orders being on hold? Obviously they have to be fulfilling some of them.

I don't know if you have been reading around or notice the trend on those orders that are on hold. Most of them have Navi options. And navi units are currently back ordered. But you just ordered in october so I probably wouldn't expect any news til at least december or january. But don't be disappointed yet. May be youll be lucky and have one matches your order with the november shipment and will actually have a car soon.

"True" OTD pricing will vary state to state by a large amount...

Even in Illinois alone you can see up to a 2.25% difference in taxes (~700 dollars on an sti)...and dealers fees can vary too.

Taxes in TX are 6.25% on new vehicle purchases! I negotiated my STi w/ nav down to invoice and i am going to end up paying a little over 36k after taxes... if it ever gets here.

Order my Wrx limited 8/30/12; dealer told me 6 weeks.

Sept 26 I have my vin, and am told it is on the boat.

How long does it take port to port? They told me 'a few weeks'. Now a whole
Month has gone by and every time i ask for an update, I am told 'let me check with our rep' and I never get a follow up call or email.

Getting frustrated man.

I read through 40 or so pages... didn't see that the Nav units were backordered. If this is true then every single Subaru model with a Nav unit is not being built right now. Seems a bit crazy to me. Wish I didn't care so much about the details. There are Gray base models to be had everywhere but when you are spending 25-30k you might as well get what you want.

It not that they haven't been built. Some of them actually might have already been shipped to port but just sitting there waiting for a NAV to come on. There was a thread I read on here saying that the navigaton unit itself is on back ordered so it's taking longer for the orders with nav option to come through. And I know what you mean on getting what you want. There are a few base WRX with the same color and options I want around here but I really want the Premium with the heated seats and moonroof so I decided to wait the 4 months. Just remind yourself that all this waiting is worth it because you're going to have the car that cater to your liking. Now back to waiting and reading NASIOC all day at work haha.

I don't believe that every Subaru model with Navigation uses the same unit. AFAIK, the WRX and STi are the only Subaru's that use this model navigation. I may be wrong though...

I believe the Navigation is one of the few options actually done at the manufacturing facility in Japan. If they were in fact back-ordered and that's the reason my car and others with Navigation are on hold than I would think it would be safe to assume that our cars haven't even come off the assembly line yet, which means it will probably be at least another 2 months (assuming the navigation units come back in stock soon).

hmm may be that what it is. But I remember reading about NAV being back ordered and they're slowing getting them in.

U think check valves are scary, try having the packing blow out of a 22" inch main steam valve at 1200psi and 950 degrees F. Now that **** is scary and wouldn't wish to see it again. Twice I've see it and it sounds like a freight train running through the main space.

i got my 5d sti for 36k base OTD.

I have a question tho. I called my dealer for an update and they said "I see an order # but I am going to have to need more information from your dealership, is it okay if I call you back no later than friday?"
Has anyone experienced this before and does anyone know what this means? What kind of info does she need?

I stop by mine once a week, it's on my way home and I like reminding them I am real, i'm not busy, and i'm not joking.
