Default Steering pump whine after roated instal

So, I am mostly wrapped up with installing my rotated kit and redoing my exhaust in intake. After burping the coolant system, noticed a whine in my power steering pump. It was working fine before I took apart my car. I had to disconnect the high pressure side to relocate my turbo coolant reservoir, but I reconnected it and torqued it back to spec.

So, I disconnected the reservoir and elevated it above the engine level and tried to burp it. There was plenty of foam and bubbles that didn't seem to ever get better regardless of how many times I turned the wheels. It seems like there is a leak in the system letting air in, so the next obvious thing was maybe the crush washers on the banjo bolt. I replaced them with new ones, but burping the line produces the same result.

From searching on this forum, it seems like it could be:
- o-rings <= maybe
- hose clamps <= not sure
- belt loose <= don't think so, for my case

Questions:
1. should my next move be to just replace the o-ring on the high presure side, or should I take it off and replace all of the o-rings and clamps.
2. Is running the power steering pump with some air in it going to destroy it, as in, I shouldn't use my car at all until I have it sorted?
3. Is my pump already toast, and I just need to suck it up and buy a new one?

air in system still,take your wheel with and turn left and right lock to lock and hold it for a few seconds,and see if that helps in bleeding the system out.May take a day.off full driving also.

Exactly what he said. Don't stress about it. I've done many motor swaps and the Subarus tend to take a little while to "burp" the PS system.

Drive it around and it will stop, check the fluid after a day or so.

If it doesn't go away, you may be sucking air on the intake/low pressure side. It won't necessarily leak if that is the case.

I had the same problem, ended up being the o-ring for the aluminum elbow on top of the pump...the one that the rubber hose clamps to.

Do you know the part number for this? I think it is a single piece, isn't it? Also, remember the cost of this?

Usually when a customer brings me a subaru for this problem we find the suction hose from the reservoir to the pump is sucking air. Try screw clamps and if that doesn't work replace the hose. Had one yesterday on a forester, had to replace the hose.
