Default Which springs with Koni inserts on Sti?

I just got a set of 05 wrx struts. I am planning on gutting them and putting koni inserts in them and putting them on my 04 Sti. The question is should I use the stock 04 Sti springs or get 04 Prodrive Sti springs or 04 Prodrive Wrx springs? I searched and didn't find what I was looking for. For those who have done this, do the koni's come with bumpstops? Which bumpstops should I use? Thanks again.

I don't remember getting bumpstops. I used my stock ones.

IIRC, conventional wisdom is that Konis will be OK with any spring up to mid-300 ft/lbs without revalving.

That's what I've heard as well. Look through BIGSKYWRX's posts to be sure. I think he's the guy I heard it from.

I would recommend using springs at least as stiff as your stock STi springs - if not stiffer. The Konis ride well enough that you need not sacrifice performance by stepping down to a softer spring (i.e. WRX Prodrives). I'm running springs that are roughly equivalent to JDM STi pinks on my Konis, and the car rides great IMO.

to the op, are you doing this b/c your stock struts went out or because the konis will perform/ride better?

To avoid bobble-head, make sure you pair up whatever springs you get with some Group N strut tops. You could also go for the Tarmac springs and camber plates from RaceComp Engineering plus group N rears. It's a pretty stiff spring, but Myles spent a lot of time developing it specifically to find both comfort and performance.
