08 STI Hill Start Assist Light on
Hi all, I had some issues with my accessport last week. Bought a V2 accessport used and went to go install it. Install went fine. Installed the Stage 1 Stock Intake Tune. Drove it Around for a bit and decided to get back to work Then I decided to update the firmware. It put all the newest versions of the maps on there (v333) and I also added the stock installed map. I decided to flash to the stock installed map until I get my DP & Instake sorted. When I installed the stock installed map I drove my car around then immediately noticed the Hill Start Assist light was on. I turned the car off and reset the ecu using the accessport to no avail. The light was still on. I tried uninstalling but that didn't work either. Also tried a battery pull and waited an hour to no luck. I also noticed my cruise control is not functioning either. Also my TPMS light blinks on every startup then stays lit after a while driving. Any suggestions on what to do next? I think there may be a problem with a sensor somewhere, not sure why this would happen after flashing.
I have tried searching to no avail. for any other people experiencing this problem. Maybe I will have to take the car into the stealership so they can do a select scam... oh wait I mean scan!

Use the AP to read the ECU error codes.

No DTC's... Most likely an ABS Fault I'm Assuming...

I believe there is another computer for ABS, and DCCD.... not too sure but I know my DCCD module also had to be changed out and it never threw a code. The only reason it came up was because subaru was reading it with their scanner.

Assuming the Accessport is uninstalled, you might consider performing a "hard reset" on the vehicle by removing the negative battery cable for ~15 minutes. This would put the modules back to their initial state and allow them to re-detect any possible mechanical faults in the ABS/braking/hill-assist systems, if they do actually exist. The AP does not touch any module besides the ECU, so there is typically a coincidental cause at hand when these types of things occur.
Best of luck and please keep us updated- Cheers Lance |

Can you pull or see those error codes with RomRaider or other software?
Or is the dealership the only way to have those codes pulled |

I've been getting the hill assist light for about two weeks now. Sometimes it's there, somtimes times its not. Sometimes it will even turn off while driving? Doesn't throw a code that the cobb AP can see. Dunno? |
