Default any1 use Cobb stage 2+ ebcs maps?

Hello Nasioc, I was wondering if anyone is using the new Cobb stage 2+ ots maps on their car yet.

http://www.cobbtuning.com/Subaru-Acc...tock-SF-Intake

As you can see, Cobb now offers stage 1+ ebcs and stage 2+ ebcs ots maps through their accessport v3. I always wanted to upgrade from my AP v1 to the new v3 AP, and kind of want it more now. Just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

As of now I have a 2005 Wrx premium sedan with Cobb sf intake/box/post maf hose, Perrin turbo inlet, Samco intercooler/bpv/tb hoses, Cobb up pipe, Cobb down pipe and Cobb Ap v1 with 93 octane stage 2 tune. Everything has been more than perfectly fine for a while, but very curious about adding the Cobb 3 port Ebcs and the new Ap v3 with stage 2+ ebcs map.

Users? Comments? etc?

So none of yall are using the stage1+ or stage2+ ebcs maps from Cobb?
I've been very happy with my ApV1 stage 2 ots map from Cobb, and very curious about their 3 port Ebcs and their new ApV3 stage 2 + ebcs map.

I should be getting my EBCS in the mail today from cobb, I went from V1 to V3 recently aswell and the updated tune alone is already running better just underboosting on HWG still. Hoping the EBCS will fix that

I was wondering this too. I've been wanting to get an EBCS for awhile but never got one because it wasn't supported in the maps.

So you went from ApV1 stage 2 map to ApV3 stage 2 map? Much better than the V1 map?

Do you plan on using the Cobb stage 2+ map with their Ebcs, or a custom tune?

Please keep me updated on the Cobb Ebcs and new map. I am very interested in this.

Yea i went from V1 to V3, the V1 does not support the updated map so that is the reason i upgraded. Only difference i really remember it made was smoother idle & thru the power band, also i used to have a knock but that seemed to go away quite a bit with the update.

Right now im just going with stage2 + ebcs, protune later on

So far on my test ride to work after installing the ebcs + map is i gained 1psi, before i was hitting about 15.25 now i'm at 16.28 and it is normal to go 1psi less from what i read. The boost kicks in alot quicker too and holds better. Hope this helped

Really hope you get that problem figured out.

Yeah there is hwg and lwg maps but they didn't help any, I found out I am leaking a lot at the injectors, bought a generic injector repair kit and changed the seals a while back and I guess they aren't thick enough. Will get that fixed this weekend when i receive all new oem orings grommets and seats for the injectors.( expensive for some little pieces of rubber...) I expect to regain the 2 to 3 psi lost. Its weird that the OEM ebcs held the boost even with the big boost leak. Even with the leak, its a night and day difference with the 3 port, I would recommend it.

I think the wgdc map may be conservative so you don't get any big spikes. The maps run quite a bit of boost

I think it's a certain improvement over the standard stage 2. I'm just curious now what the difference between OTS and protune is with this setup.

I'm using it now but am having boost issues. I don't reach peak boost and am only running on wastegate pressure. Not sure what is going on because everything is hooked up and tight.

I'm running the stage 2 +ebcs on my 02 wrx after running the stage 2 for a long while before that and the difference is impressive I went from boosting 14 to 17. Much less over boost and the gain is really quick . Plus it's a breeze to install

Any been having problems with boost spikes? I've had mine spike up to 24psi on the stage 2+EBCS. Just installed my mine last night and had it spike over 20psi twice. And just cruising I can't spool more then 9psi.

you've hit boost cut then and now its in WG mode. Reset ECU and log the car. Was the 24PSI in 4th gear?

Cobb has certain maps that adjust to your wastgate... There are options when you download the stage2+ebcs map that account for under boosting or over boosting

I've been having the same problem with my car. I've been pushing 22 psi tried downloading the low wastegate one and still doing the same thing.
