Over boosting on nwg
I just noticed the same issue. This may sound counterintuitive but I loaded the stg 2+ ebcs hwg map and I hit 16 psi perfectly with no spikes. Drove around a bit testing and no hiccups. The lwg map wouldn't go above 12.5 psi and the nwg spikes to 21 psi if I hit the gas around 2k-4k in 2nd gear. My car seems to behave the opposite of what Cobb recommends. Try the hwg map. Triple checked and my vac lines are correct to the ebcs and all other vac lines were replaced about a month ago.

Hopefully a fix can be found on this. I am debating adding a 3 port EBCS with AP Stg 1. Would a protune correct the under/overboosting?

Yes. The pro tune will adjust for your car. Try the cheaper E Tune IMO

Perrin inlet with stage 2
I had to replace my turbo inlet when I first got my car (2002 wrx) it's all stock besides that. Can I run stage 2 ebcs if I get all supporting mods but have a Perrin inlet?

I installed the 3 port ebcs and am using Cobbs ots map. Fixed my over boosting. Also response and medium throttle is a lot smoother. Smoother powerband in general, I'd recommend the upgrade from a base stage 2 tune.

I have the stage 2 + ebcs with supporting mods. Cobb ebcs fixed my low boost problem. No spikes. Would definitely recommend this

Sorry to post on a dead thread, but has anyone found a fix for the boost spike with the stage 2+ EBCS map? I have checked and rechecked vacuum lines but can't seem to figure out the issue

Ive been playing around with WGDC/TD error once i got a catless DP (i dont like it but its what i have) and went stage 2 with Cobbs OTS Tune (along with the other supporting upgrades needed). I have an 08 WRX and I know they dont support a MAP with a EBCS, which is what I purchased (Cobb EBCS) to try to help with possible overboosting. Been playing around with their Stage 2 Maps and havent quite dialed it in yet. The general consensus of "lower WGDC by 20-30% with an EBCS" did not apply in my case and right now im actually testing 10% WGDC increase from normal stage 2 ots map. Yes, i have checked connections/hoses a million times and Cobb does not want to help me with any technical recommendations due to liability, which I 100% understand. With normal Stage 2 OTS MAP, boost comes in slow and peak is also a little lower. Been logging and reading/making graphs and i just keep learning more and more about it and what works and what doesnt. And its fun, assuming you know what youre doing and dont blow anything up. Lol.
