F this Forester "Build Thread"
This will be my tale of taking my 2008 Forester XT Sports from a pretty much stock car too a STI forester (in my eyes)

Some block pics, block was already at the machine shop, was bored and honed with the torque plate, here is a few pics of me getting ready to gap the rings, will post more pics when i start assembling the block/motor

Parts that went to section 8 for powdercoating today, more will be done, but this is what i had ready (don't mind Kens intake manifold in there)

This morning i decided to fully disassemble my brembos to get them ready to goto powder coat next week, pulled out all the pistons and seals and whatever

Very cool! Looks well thought-out. My suggestions...if you are going to be keeping the STi struts/springs/tops for a while, a good-value upgrade are Prodrive or STi pink springs. Also, if it is anything like the Impreza, some chassis bracing can go a long way for better turn-in, especially when it comes to the front sub-frame area.

My wife is now contemplating selling the Trailblazer SS and keeping the '07 Outback that I was going to sell. Maybe I look into building a Outback STi?? Hmmmmm.....
