These are actually the Universal mud flaps. I put them on about a month before the actual impreza ones came out.
FYI, I posted these same pics in the Roof Carrier thread and boy are they hatin... |

Nice bike!
Do the mudflaps seem to help at all with the amount of crud sucked onto the back of the car? Obviously the back of your car isn't pristine, but that looks like a fairly goopy road. (similar to as "off road" as I would take our Imp around here). The imp does seem to get a dirty behind pretty quickly and easily. I LIKE your roof rack solution. Sacrilage, I know, but I don't particularly like the big clunky Sport roof rails and did not get or want them. I figured the pedestal type rack made a lot more sense and results in a much cleaner look. Nice to see a pic of that solution. Different strokes for different folks. |

Anyway, I found a few pics of the mudflaps after I took them out on that muddy day I went mountain biking. Does the job pretty well. The other dirt is solely due to my laziness Last edited by PhoKing; 05-11-2012 at 04:47 PM. Reason: posted the same pic twice |

That is one of the reasons I didn't get a sport. I like these wheels better. P.S. I still have my S2000 |

fog overlays
put the fog overlays on. bought them on ebay pre-cut, $7.99 free shipping from US seller. came with 3 in case you make a mistake on one.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/150681701687...84.m1497.l2649 my first time working with the vinyl & up close they're not perfect, but i think i did alright. i will say, you may want to go with the option to buy a sheet & cut them yourself. with the pre-cut, there's not much wiggle room & if they shift even slightly during application you may have an exposed edge, so if you can cut them just a hair too big you'll have a small lip to apply around the edge if you need to. |

Painted my Taillights:
Also got 27% tint done, this pic isn't the best though: So, when the tint guy was doing the windows, he was talking about doing something for the tail lights as well. I thought he was going to get some tinted vinyl, but he pulled out some Niteshades and masking tape. We masked out the design, and sprayed it on, but there were some spots that didn't come out well, so I took the lights off, re-masked and sprayed with flat black over the botched Niteshades job. I really like the design now that it's blacked out (instead of shaded), gives a slightly aggressive look, and makes the back end not look as odd. If I were to do it again, I would have just used some black vinyl and cut-out the design with an xacto blade, but after the niteshades dried, it was too late. You can see the niteshades in the last pic for comparison. For the tint, the back window needs to be redone since the tint guy cut the piece wrong, and there's a spot not tinted (look really close on the left side of the wiper blade on the back window.) What do you guys think of the paint design? Anyone else modded the tails (other than LED bulbs)? |

Looks great from behind! Definitely takes away from that odd bulky rear end. I do wish the tail lights were something different than they are. I liked the look of the 2008-2011 LED tail light set up.

I did 27% to stay legal, and I don't think a cop will know the difference between my painted taillights and stock, especially since I didn't really cover the light part of it. Quote:
I got the car 4/2, so 45 days is a long time to not do anything to the car for me. I have my plates from my old car, but my temps expire 6/2, so until then, I'll rock the dealership blanks. I didn't actually plan on doing anything with the tail lights, but the tint guy mentioned it, and I realized I don't like how much red there is back there on the lights, so I painted it. If I had access to a garage and the right tools (rather than an apartment balcony) I would have already done a muffler delete with dual tips, with the tips coming out the little plastic lower portion of the bumper. I would have done a projector retrofit, and some LEDs in the headlights, and, I would have also done the grille, but that is coming soon any way. (That's why I painted the tails flat black; to match the flat black grille I'll be doing.) I have a personal motto of "Always modding something" and it will never stop, so even when all that is done, I will find something else to mess with. It's just too bad there isn't much out there for this car yet. |

Cool taillights, I never even would have thought about doing something. Does the light still shine through at all?

I'll try to get some pictures at night of the light. No light shines through the flat black paint, but would have if I left it with just the niteshades.

Has anyone successfully disabled the DRL on the 2012 Impreza?
