Haven't procured a tow vehicle and trailer yet.

Wrxgrl is probably friends with Edwin and getting a photo spread done.

2005 legacy gt rear brakes for sale, any interest locally? This is also know as the h-6 rear brakes. 6 months on rotors and pads. 150k on calipers. I will blast and repaint/ rebuild them for someone if they would like. No leaks worked perfectly fine, removed for brembos.
$200 takes them as is.

H6 is different, as they are not vented. The Legacy GT brakes are awesome because they are vented

It's what I run on my FXT and I love the hell out of 'em. Great pad selection available too!

That said, my rears are ugly... How much for just the calipers and brackets blasted? It would be silly to ship rotors since I run an auto parts store

Then I guess they are better than the h-6's! I would prefer to get rid of the rotors too, I have a pile of 20+ going to the scrapyard soon and these ones are almost like new since they were only run with the Brembo fronts ( braking bias shifted forwards significantly)
I figure around 3-4 hours of time to clean, wash, dry, blast, prep, paint, and rebuild. I also prefer to keep OEM brake calipers in circulation as opposed to the Mexican crap calipers auto stores are selling now. People replace their oem's because they don't want to rebuild them, then they start replacing the knockoffs due to stuck slides, siezed pistons, leaking seals...

Not me, just a rooted bionic here.
I just find it hilarious apple is choosing to remove google maps from it. They better have something up their sleeve or it going to be a terrible move.

I played with the new maps on my brothers device. In rough beta form it works great. Like google but turn by turn, voice choice, 3d maps and seemed like better pin point accuracy

just dropped off a crank and a rod(to be resized) at PGH CRANKSHAFT. they're right down the street from me, and appear to be a really good machine shop. who knew! looks like 160 turns a junk crank into a good one and bearing prices are ~the same for oversized bearings. we were talking for over an hour and at some point discussing the merits of nitriding a crank. he's not a believer. i'll have 4 of my own 2.5l cranks and have Nicks crank too. i kinda feel like i should just drop them all off. thoughts?

Are they doing you any good taking up space in your garage? If not, spend a little time and money and turn them into something profitable.

Jason i did some research on getting a crank nitrided a year or so ago. What i found was that there was two different ways to do it. One was better than the other, and made the surface harder and more "slippery". I was gonna get a pre nitrided subaru crank done with the good process but it added 400 to the price. I was told that subaru used the cheaper process and that the bearing surfaces arent treated, which is kind of pointless not to do i was told. Hope that helps a little.

Well ****. A crappy restore would've been better than those stripes.

They didn't resurface the flywheel on a clutch swap. Anyone have luck with that on a street cat?
