Like 30-35 mph, started sliding sideways and just went into one curb, over that and hit another then was stopped by a pole.

Looks like those XXRs held up well...

But that doesn't look like nearly enough damage to warrant insurance to total it. My WRX had far worse damage and insurance still rebuilt it.

dang, apparently im in good company

Today I found out just how much these hand me down tires suck I reckon I should have read about em more before I drove em like normal all seasons. Either way, a slick intersection that apparently has claimed 5 cars this year took another one today

Incorrect, rain was the bad idea. Shoddy tires will do it too.

Incorrect again, cheap used tires was the bad idea. Granted they were in great shape, their reviews n test scores should make em illegal

Yea, those are pretty crappy.....

That sucks about your car though. I've had mine in the body shop too many times.

If you are looking for a better all season tire, I can personally recommend Continental Extreme Contact DWS.

I run a dedicated set for each season.
For winter Blizzak LM 25 rft 215+- per
For summer BFG KDW 127+- per

I've had the blizzaks for going on three seasons now and they still have great tread. The fact that they are RFT makes them not feel like winter tires at all (I prefer them to the nitto next gen geos I'm running right now)

The KDWs grip amazingly well in both wet and dry conditions. They are a bit loud and they only last about 30,000+- miles but I'll keep buying them
