And for anyone thinking about buying the 12" core be prepared for a little bit of fitment issues. It isnt the easiest thing. What I did was welded a steel bar from one side of the bumper beam to the other and cut the whole middle section out, and drilled 2 holes into the bar and mounted it. It fits but barely. what I would recomend is, find a flat piece of steel not square, I used a square piece and my hood has a hard time finding the latch I have to push the hood down.

I have a few pictures none under the hood but a few of the core installed. If anyone is interested in seeing them let me know.
Of course you can't use the OEM bumper support. Either remove it and run around crazy like me, or make a new bumper, or buy the chitty aluminum units floating around.

With a aftermarket bumper beam I think it would hang down like easystreets fmic setup. If you have seen that car recently the fmic hangs down about an inch or 2.

There are Chinese aluminum bumpers made to hang the IC on. I just passed. No street driving for my car, or I would be looking for something.

Did you get the SSAutooo FMIC?

This thread is starting to get confusing. It started about the kit that comes from XS-Turbo that includes the intercooler, hoses, and bumper bracket but now it seems that we are all waiting for turbo2nr to get one that is from another seller and does not include the bumper beam and has a completely different intercooler core.

It does make for some confusion, but it is on topic of ICs for cheap I guess. And that is always entertaining info.

I am more interested in finding out more info on the one that comes with the beam bracket as it would make for an easier install. Unless someone someone wants to explain how else it can be mounted.

Well it arrived the core looks good and all of the piping fits nice. It comes with the bumper beam, coolant overflow bottle, nice piping, couplers and t-bolts, it even comes with some sort of intake thing. Overall, nice kit.

Can you post a link to the auction you won it in? I don't remeber the sellers name and he doesn't have any current auctions running.

Can you take a picture of the inside of the core through one of the ends? And can you confirm the link to the one you bought?

Doesn't look half bad so far.

Ok, everything is on, if you buy this kit you need a short ram intake and a new bpv. But it looks great, you also need some paintremover or something to get that writing off.
