Wheel fitment on gc8
Ive been doing a lot of research and gained a lot of info, but now I am worked about the setup I was going to run on my 2.5rs
I already acquired a lot of things and am stuck on what to do. I wanted to run 17x8 +53 rims (have the rims) With 235/45r17 Dunlop tires (have these tires) I was thinking of getting 15-25mm studded spacers, because the rims would rub with the starts otherwise, right?? I am looking to run my stock suspension for now I am really bad with wheel fitment, but the questions I have are: First, is this a do-able setup without any crazy custom work? Will the tires cause any issues? If I use spacers, say 20mm, with my rims poke out like crazy? Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm running 20mm spacers on the back of my 01 impreza L and it doesn't stick out crazy. If you want I can take a pic of it granted I'm running stock 08 WRX rims

Those tires are a bit tall, but they should fit without spacers.
You WILL rub with 20mm spacers. There isn't much room on the GCs to run wide tires and/or low offset without doing a lot of fender mods. |

I'm assuming you're wanting to run the '11-'13 WRX wheels and tires by the wheel and tire size given. I have the exact same setup on my 2000 RS right now and it took me a little bit to get it to work. I have coilovers and needed atleast a 2 mm spacer in the rear to clear the strut while pulling on the hub to give me a little more clearance. I am barely clearing the coilover and I rub occasionally in the rear (have unrolled fenders right now, but will roll them soon). Here are some pictures of my car that I posted in another thread if you want to check it out:
