EQ - Borg Warner EFR 8374 Build, Prelim Tune - 500whp with a lot more to go!
This car has been in the works for quite some time now. We finally got it running and got some break-in miles on it, so I spent a couple hours with it on the dyno to start making some power. We ended up cracking 500whp with just 24psi but ran into fueling issues so kept it there while we re-wire the dual pumps. Either way, this car is FAST and spool feels amazing on the street. The block is built to hold over 30psi and 8000RPM, so we have a lot left to go

It's about time someone has tuned an 8374! Thank you for posting. Power band looks very nice.

Great job guys! I always enjoy seeing your post. However, I know the BW turbos tend to be on the large "body" size, but with only a 62.6 mm inducer this thing seems to be a lag monster. I thought that the EFR series was supposed to offer an advantage as far as spool.?

The G200 would be better but the customer is going for a relatively stealthy appearance. We'll probably do a couple pulls with the axle back off the car once we have it turned up all the way.
BTW, remember we're running a .85 correction factor on our Dynocom dyno. This would be roughly 590whp on other Dynocom's. Thanks -- Ed |

Awesome! Great build man. I look forward to your results. If you've driven it much. How is drivability?
