So awesome. I love Foresters, and the Forester STi is even better, I used to see them in Taiwan. Great job, keep the pics coming! Hopefully you are painting it a different color?

There's a big difference on how the Outside temp is wired between the 04 STI and the 04 FXT.

The 04 FXT Cluster gets the outside temp straight from the OAT sensor in front of the AC Condensor, and it shares that signal with Auto Air computer / controls.

The 04 STI Cluster gets it's Outside temp signal FROM the Auto Climate Control panel. The OAT sensor sends it's signal straight to the Auto Climate Control panel and then the panel interprets it and sends out a digital signal to the cluster.

The Auto Climate controls of the STI won't fit the forester. We've tried everything short of building a converter box to function like the STI Climate control panel. So the two Forester STI's we've built (One was featured in Subiesport about 4 months ago) both say 122* F all of the time on the outside air temp.

Yes, the front end is getting painted to match the red. That's why we chose to get white parts, rather than blue or gray (which were the only colors available). We could only buy these parts painted (they weren't available unpainted). If everything goes right, I might be able to respond back today with pictures of the front end pieces on, although they will still be white until we get them painted body color.

I was hoping that you were going to paint the whole car white or a different color.

Why no STI steering wheel? Other than that, the car looks great. When will we see pics of the front bumper installed on the XT?
