I'm still thinking about painting the muffler black. Short sound clip. http://www.csupomona.edu/~jcborgonia/CIMG2154.AVI Crappy vid. My friend used his digital camera to take it. I'm catless BTW. I wish I had a clip of my old set-up. JDM STi axleback + custom 3" intermediate pipe. I'm gonna post the old exhaust again at the sales thread with better pics and a cheaper price. Anyway, I'm very happy with this exhaust. |

If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it. IIRC, that's one of the most desired exhausts on the planet.

You know the more you spend on a catback the better it will sound...
Modified ebay dp, and homemade catback. Edit (off the phone now so i will explain this better): Ebay up and down pipes - $250 shipped 3" high flow cat (got a friend to weld it into dp) - $70 2x cans of BBQ paint - $10 Heat wrap w/ ss zip ties - $40 Mild steel 3" mandrel bent 180 degree bend - $50 3" mild steel scraps - free (work next to a muffler shop) Total price: 3" TBE with up pipe - $420 It exits right before the rear wheel. The swap isn't done yet but i'm sure it will be too loud. Last edited by RS_to_WRX_swap; 12-25-2005 at 04:27 PM. |

Just curious...how was the sound with the sti axleback + custom intermediate pipe? I'm assuming you took out the resonator from the intermediate pipe as well? Did it get super loud? I'm just asking because i have the jdm sti turboback, but wanted something a bit louder...with more rumble |
