Default My nitrous is broken, need help ASAP

Well, here is the situation. WHen it comes on I don't get the hyper overdrive fast and furious affect :P It's only a 50 wet shot but still has a nice little kick to it. I can't believe how badly they depict nitrous. Maybe a 150 shot in a vette would feel like the movie, but come on.

PS. It is all working fine, just thought it is funny how people think it feels when it is on due to a few movies.

You mean lights don't become blurry? Time doesn't slow down?

What about your passenger floorboard rivets? Do they at least pop out?

Default the juice

When the 100 shot in my mustang comes on it damn near feels like that.
But it makes 351hp and 541tq so I guess it should.

Yeah, our little 50 shots are nothing. Now on the other hand, when I ride in my buddy's T/A with a 150 shot time does slow down and I saw the bolt of his floorboard loosen a little.

Yeah, I want more, but the motor doesn't. 50 shot feels like the safe limit on this stock block with the assorted mods I have.

I've always wanted to hitch a ride in a squeezed american steel ride. As long as the floor board doesn't fall out I should be ok

I seriously thought something was wrong when I installed my nitrous kit. It wasn't until I went to the strip and found out it took me down to 12.1 at 117 that I was convinced it was working correctly.

Dude, I don't know what you're talking about because when I hit the nawz, there's all kinds of danger to my manifold.

Phil -> you crack me up.

Jim-> tell me who won the race in the wrx vs del sol video at www.quickwhips.com. I'm in the far lane and cleary kicked his arse both times but they still didn't pay up. Damn Dundock Maryland crew :/ Fully built 2.0 in that car with a TD04. Me on the 1820 race map and no nitrous plus gave him 2 cars on the start.

What size nawzzzzzzzzzz shots are people running? Brand? Wet/dry?

Me:

50shot, Nitrous Express (damn remote opener doesn't like to work all the time), wet

You can do a 'hypothetical post' as well if you don't want the word out on your mods

dude, you're lucky that 100 shot of nawz didn't blow the welds on the intake. now nathan and the mad scientist gotta rip apart the block and take out the piston rings you fried.

sorry, couldn't help it.

Stephen, you totally beat that delsol. I even had my wife watch it and tell me which car won. I don't think it's even that close.

I remember my faster SBF days... I stuffed a 306 into an '88 TownCar some years ago along with some GT-40 irons, Cobra Intake, E-cam, Level 10 AOD, PI converter, a 150shot of the spray, and the other standard bolt-ons. I got that car to run mid 8's in the 1/8 mi strip...not bad for an iron headed 4400lbs car! I traded that car to the dealer (dumb move I know) as a trade for the WRX.

Now my SBF endeavors are with my F-150. Can we say long rod 392 with AFR-185 heads...

A large shot of spray is a huge rush, similar to the onset of boost. I wonder what boost + 100shot would be like?

when i ran a 150 my car went crazy. 4 wheel spinning, fish tailing all the way through second, and hard to controll. with 50-100 it was fast but not like the movie.

fun times with the laughing gas. A 5lb bottle gets me into minimal trouble. Probably 10 full pulls through 4th with it before the pressure is so low it doesn't do much.

I've been reading as many threads on new tranny options as possible since I've realized 1.7bar and nitrous is where the fun is at. On the load bearing dyno we were only able to run 1.55 bar with nitrous before getting knock. A nice cool night, witches brew gas, and fingers crossed got me up to 1.65 all turbo and then 1.74 peak on spray.

Yes, I admit the fact that I'm now burning the candle at both ends with a blow torch. Life is short, live it fast.

I definately agree with you. I love to push the limit. Hopefully with my motor i will be able to push 30 psi and a 150-200 shot of nitrous. Should be done in less then 2 weeks.
