Um... put an elliptical from sears in it like I did. Make sure you tie the hatch, it doesn't close.

Serious answer : NEVER CUT YOUR DAMN SPRINGS. If you want low, buy coilovers or some racing / lowering springs. Coilovers are usually more comfortable than racing springs though...

You bought a brand new sti and you want to cut your springs? Did i read that right? Go to the suspension sub forum and do some reading. There are plenty of options out there for what you want

DONT CUT YOUR (*#%&()&* SPRINGS - EVER

I have not had these on an STi but had them on an integra I had set up as a DD / AUTOX car. Says they lower your car 0.8" and will give you slightly higher spring rates, not enough to make it to rough. The sport line kit is the next step up and lowers it more as well as stiffer rates.

I am not sure if you HAVE to replace your shocks with the pro-lines or not, I did, but you will have to consult an expert

I have a 2012 sti sedan and I have the eibach pro kit. It lowers 0.8in but looks perfect. No wheel gap AND, believe it or not, rides smoother than stock. Less bouncy and you definitely feel glued to the road. Love Em.

Search the classifieds for 3 additional donut spares so you will have a matching set of true JDM wheels AND it should be good for an extra inch or two..

You can load up your car until its at the ride height you want, then zip tie your springs so they can't extend once you remove the zip ties.

Subaru WRX STIs have an ESSDC(Electronic Shock and Spring Damper Control) that has to be reset using certain methods. One method puts it into race mode, and your car will think it is at the track and adjust accordingly... kind of like #sport mode in your STi.

Directions to put it into race mode to reset ride height:

1.) Take 1 qt of 10/40 and mix it with sugar (1/2 a cup)-This will form a chain of polysaccharides that react to the 2-2-4 trimethylpentane

2.) Dump it in your gas tank

3.) Redline it until the gas tank is empty

4.) Go fill your gas tank back up

5.) Your ride height will adjust accordingly

Am I the only one here who knows how to read? The OP is not considering cutting his springs, he's merely asking if there is another way.

Similar example: "I'm too tall, is there anyway to make myself shorter? (without cutting off my feet, or course!)"

-___________-

But for the OP, next time, give your thread a relevant title like: "Can I Lower '13 STI without Aftermarket Suspension?"

Kettle, meet Pot. Pot, meet Kettle.

I'm sure you both must be familiar with each other by now.
