my first project was my alarm key fob. i figured if it would get around those corners and in the little crevices the stuff would work for almost anything on the interior. i cant wait to do some more

You can get a free sample from headlight armor. If you get two samples it's enough to do the key fob.

If anyone can show me what they have done for the interior of an '04-'05, I am getting bored of my interior and would love to see some c/f.

That FOB is awesome. Did you use one or two pieces? I hate the OE FOB and this is perfect.

i did the alarm fob pretty ghetto style. i didnt have a heat gun on hand and i was rather bored so i used my butane torch as low as it would go.i just took the fob all apart and did it one side at a time. i screwed up the front the first time i tried and had to redo it because i burnt off the carbon fiber look from overheating, but over all im happy with it. the dinoc is amazing stuff, it seems to actually harden and stick a ton better after heating. i didnt use any primer, i didnt know any was needed.lol. i plan on getting a second set of key/ alarm fob here soon (i didnt get a second when i bought the car) when i do the second one i want to try clearing it for that wet carbon fiber look.

"Carbon fiber" wall paper on plastic exterior parts is just Rice. Anyone that would give respect for having a carbon fiber part on your car would instantly know it's fake. Install a set of these while you're at it. |

Some people like the carbon look. I don't see anything wrong with Di-Noc'ing your roof if you've got a CF hood and CF trunk. Just boils down to personal preference.
But 68Cadillac is right, you're not fooling anyone. |

Im not flaming, do as you would like to your car. Buuuut, this 3m crap is horrible. To the OP, you can get the pieces that you covered in the sticker fake stuff for like 30-50 dollars in real carbon fiber. Soon people will be covering their hoods and trunks with this stuff.

Just me speaking here; but, I've never really found carbon fiber appealing on subies. I have a cf hood and I'm about to paint over it, you usually buy carbon fiber to shave a few lbs. Like I said, just my personal opinion....!

I think interior carbon fiber is neat, if you're into that sort of thing. |

If I remember correctly the stock hood weighs as much as a cf hood. Seeing the 3m cf In person it looks amazing! Yeah it might be a sticker but looks as good if not better than the real thing. Ok maybe not as good as the real thing but still looks amazing.

My keyword being "usually" shaves a few lbs. My past two cars have had cf hoods as well and don't get me wrong; I love the look of carbon fiber. Just on some cars more then others. The cf hood on my wrx is noticably lighter than my stock hood though.

I like the carbon on the Sierra Sierra Evo.....
Almost all of the removable components of the body are CF....hood, fenders, bumpers, doors.....but the vinyl makes it appear just black from a distance. Very clever. And that car is fast as ****. |

Best way to shave a few pounds is to lose a few pounds.

Last time I checked this is the interior/exterior forum not the grammar Nazi forum. Also the 3M di-noc is a very nice product well made and easy to work with, also it has a nice dry carbon look to it. The part I covered was made out of plastic so replacing it with c/f wouldn't net any weight savings so I opted for this instead of shelling out 60 or 80 bux on a piece that sticks to it and adds weight. I'd rather that 80 bones and buy a afta maf hose,,, oh I'm sorry is that spelling unacceptable? Would you like to proof read my post for me? Enough gay internet pissing match, back on topic.
