I was at my cousins for about 9 hours and they had to drive me home to the boonies. We needed gas and had to stop at the gas station well I was in my cousins factory gas loving Honda. Well seeing she is rican this guy in a mustang asks what I have done to it.
So I told him how it is stage 2, wrx turbo, awd etc etc. when he asked if he could see the engine I had no problem with that. When we got there my intercooler and turbo and all my neat stuff was gone
And she had 93 in her tank LOL >.< sorry

So you're saying your cousin is a thief?

EDIT: Nevermind, sounds like you were drunk and you were thinking you were in your car.... Or am I still way off mark?

And forgot he wasn't in his own car? Driven a civic, and my WRX feel nothing alike.

I'm used to people asking about my car it's just natural instinct to me. Middle of the night, gas station, guy in mustang. We are humans sorry I can't be as perfect as you but for those who like to enjoy stories I thought it was pretty funny.

WIfe took my car to my parents for the weekend so my kids could see them.
My dad does sunday breakfasts with his brother. He decided to take my car.
My wife said that when he got home he told her "The first time i got on it I had one of those Independence Day moments... "I have got to get me one of these"

After I took my father in law to the gas station he said "this really makes you think twice about a V8." I asked him if he wanted to put a boxer engine in his 54' Chevy pickup... That went over well

They probably outsource to New Zealand and use the fires of Mordor... Although my paper-thin body panels suggest otherwise!

That is something I never knew... all growing up I thought it was in Australia.

Judging by the accent this guy had, though, I'm sure he didn't have the most geographical awareness either.

At a funeral last weekend, my cousins and I were gathered around my car afterwards, the oldest one sits in the driver's seat..

"Man I could have wrecked this thing real good about ten years ago."

So, Subaru's are popular in Australia, easily misconceived that they are made there. That mountain is on another continent and I don't believe it's moved. Sounds like he is brighter than you regardless of his accent.
Judging people based on how they talk is pretty ignorant if you ask me.

Talking with my friends and re-reading some of the funny posts I read on the "you know you drive a WRX/STI when" thread

Me reading post: you know you own a WRX/STI when you drive faster on the on ramp then you do on the free way.
Friend: "I do that in the blazer and the mustang, gotta make up the time from being behing the slow pokes."
Me: (crickets chirping in the background)

needless to say, he doesnt own a WRX or STI.

If he does that in the blazer, it's an overall wonder he hasn't rolled it over just about every time. The mustang, depending on which year and what he has done to it I can *kinda* believe.

Driving someone in one of my classes somewhere talking about being afraid of people messing with the car

"No one would mess with it, no one cares about a scion"
me: "It's not a scion, its actually fast"
"Oh yeah, subaru scion w.e"
As he was talking I slowly crept to 3.5K in 2nd and then just goosed it a little bit around a curve and he goes "OHHH GOHHHHD"

So I'm at childrens hospital for a check up wearing my turbo junky shirt"my replacement for your displacement" with the picture of a turbo
Guy: so I'm guessing that's not a picture of a hair drier? And its most likely a car part?
Guy: a carburetor
Me: naw its a turbo lol
Guy: Ohhhh ok so does your car have a turbo?
Made me chuckle
