Adding HP?
So I'm getting my wrx this week, and everything on it is stock, but I want more Horsepower. Any suggestions that aren't really high dollar?
I've had a couple people tell me Cold Air Intake, and a Performance or super chip. I'm not too smart on this kind of stuff. So any help would be appreciated.

I'm a nice guy in these threads. Before you get ripped apart by these guys on here you may want to do some research. A few quick points. Get some seat time. Learn your car and its capabilites slowly. Drive it stock for a few months until you are perfectly comfortable.
Have the car tuned with no added mods. Stage 1 Throw an exhaust on and retune for stage 2. Never stop researching, good luck getting pushed around in here, im curious to see how Unibomber lays into you, he seems to be in a badd mood lately. |

mods can add up quick ($$$), so make sure you're paying for what YOU want and not what your buddies want. Good luck |

Wrong forum- get over it
Simple question- get over it Not everyone spends 10hrs a day on these forums and this guy is obviously new to the Subaru community. Instead of posting about how he messed up why not help him out? GusGus a good way to get started is to pick up a Cobb AccessPort. You can flash the 'stage 1' map onto your car and will pick up a few hp and lots of torque and also be more fun to drive with improved throttle response. When you're ready for more power pick up a downpipe like the one available from Crucial Racing and flash Stage 2. By the time you get to that point and ready for even more power you should be more familier with the forums and able to search the many different possible options. |

I think some forums need to be locked so newer members can't post in them until they reach a certain post count.

Yeah that's a great idea FunkRider. Hold on a sec, you joined the community just 3 months ago...shouldnt you be 'locked' out?
What would be the point of this place if people that are trying to learn about their cars an expand their knowledge can't post? The way I see it- I see enough poorly built/riced out WRXs on the road as is. I'll gladly take every opportunity I can to help steer someone who's about to invest in a FMIC and BOV to pick up an AP and downpipe. |

before i really knew wat a accessport was i thought it was stupid and i should just get a open source tune. but after a while i played with one, and saw Wat it does so i just bought one. its nice on a stock car, and you will use it even if you pass 400hp.
GET A ACCESSPORTv2!!! |
