Default Updated info from SOA's media site

SOA's media site, http://media.subaru.com, has some new STi pictures and updated PDF documents on its Impreza page. The PDFs seem to have been broken out from a larger 31 page document.

Anyway, the STi Specs PDF has been updated to include the already known curb weight (3263 lbs) as well as EPA city and highway fuel economy estimates (18 and 24 mpg, respectively).

And the STi Equipment PDF mentions
Quote:
• STi kill switch type master key
I hope this doesn't mean that the security system is tied to electonics embedded in the ignition key. Or worse, that the ECU can't be swapped without ECU reprogramming.

It aslo mentioned pre-wired for alarm system. Does that mean keyless entry only?

Kill switch type key is just the blue STI key, nothing fancy.
Prewired for security system means keyless entry only, Subaru security system can be plugged right in by the dealer. (For a price )

Yeah, they think the STi key looks like a kill switch in a race/rally car, that's all. Perhaps if it was painted red...
