Did you ask him not to drill holes in the bumper and no dealer sticker and/or no tire shine?

I'm sure others have asked him before but I still gotta send those requests to him lol.

I understand the reason not to drill holes and no sticker, but why no tire shine?

Yup ordered from clayton on 10/18, was told 6-8 which turned into 15weeks, if you want updates its best to call him, i always had to. I called him after it got there and said no wash no drill holes no dealer stuff, actually left all the plastic on for the ride home to. Only problem was i ordered a cargo tray for it and it was shipped without it. He said you have to catch him before the techs get your car or its gonna get drilled and so on.

There were reports that tire shine that some dealers were using were slinging up onto the body while driving and leaving stains on the paint. I'm not sure which dealers or what kind/brand of tire shine it was but I figure it's better to be safe then sorry.

That's awesome. That's exactly what I want... No holes, no wash, no dealer stuff and no tire shine. They can take the plastic off but it's cool if they leave it on... It'll be like unwrapping a present haha.

It's only been 2 weeks so I figure once it hits 4 weeks I'll give him a call and make sure I stress all my wishes lol. Prolly give him a call after that just to remind him too haha.

Just ordered a 2013 WRX base 5-door in DGM yesterday!!!! I was given a "safe" ETA of May. I had an 06 2.5i and the only things I didn't like about it were the A/T and lack of turbo, I think this should fit the bill nicely

I used Truecar.com and believe I got a great deal. 2 dealers were at $27.4/27.6 OTD, 2 were above msrp and wouldn't touch the lower prices, and the 5th started above msrp but gave in to all of my terms including beating my best price by $60. What do you guys think?

$25,229 Including fog lights, ext armrest, short throw (approx $902 in options)
+ $770 destination fee
+ tax, tags, dealer/doc fees
$27,336 OTD

$25,999
Including fog lights, ext armrest, short throw

$27,336 OTD
Assuming its a base model? Paying $25,999 is above msrp so right off the bat I'd say you could have gotten a better deal (based off my experience, and others after reading through 70+ pages of this thread).

But $27,336 isn't a BAD deal per se. It's pretty much average for OTD costs depending on where you live.

That is far from above msrp lol. Base without options is 26565

Yes, it's a base as stated, but MSRP is 25,795 + 770 dest fee + I have $902 in options. So if you want to back all of that out I'm paying $24,327, or 5.7% below MSRP. MSRP OTD w/ my options would have been $28,757.

No it's not. Where are you getting your information?

MSRP is $25,795 PLUS destination and TTL. Like other's have said, it's not a bad deal, and sounds like you got some discounts along the way. But he could have talked the asking price down to invoice possibly before adding the options.

I guess my calculations are a little skewed too because I'm trading in my 2010 (meaning I'm getting a HUGE tax cut on thew new car). Almost $3,000 for options and TTL seemed crazy to me until I realized that you are probably paying tax on the full $24,327.

tkbox is correct, MSRP is 25,795 + 770 destination = $26,565. Based on everything I've read/heard that 770 is non-negotiable. And yes, I'm paying tax on the full amount since I'm selling my truck myself. Regardless, I'm at 5-5.7% below MSRP depending on what numbers you want to compare.

I was able to get the dealer to split the $770 cost. Almost anything is negotiable, but it depends in your local market and how much the dealer is willing to go through to make the sale.

I guess we're all talking over semantics because the way this is written makes it seem like $25,999 is the price you're paying BEFORE TTL, tags, destination, addons, etc.

If that were true then you're paying over MSRP. Otherwise if $25,999 is with destination, then I see what you're saying, but it's not written that way.

Halfway through the first round of minor mods. Debadged everything but the STi in the back, polish, wax, and damn she looks good!

Got the Hoen xenon match fogs and LED license plate light coming in tomorrow, tint going on Thursday, then I'll throw up some more pics.

Just waiting on DS so I can leave this thread for good.
