Anyone get theirs done by a shop? If so, how much did you pay solely for the install?

Question for those with multiple Defi gauges. Obviously OCD combined his wires as I'm sure most everyone has. The Defi instructions say "Do not join multiple power wires". Just wondering if anyone has had issues related to that. I'm guessing it's just Defi covering their ass in case someone does it and fries their gauges, they can say "we told you not to".

Thanks guys, pretty much what I was thinking.
I also thought of the BF setup I had in my '05, tapped into the clock harness. All three gauges and the control unit were powered by one source, which is essentially the same thing. Wish there was a decent 60mm mounting setup for my '11, I loved my old setup. |

I'm ready to tap the wires into the fuse box and this is what I tap into,
Red wire-12V Battery - Fuse # 3 - DOOR LOCK Orange wire-IGN - Fuse # 26 - IG2 White wire-Illumination - Fuse # 16 - ILLUMINATION Black wire-GND - Grounded My question is Fuse #26 what is IG2? I'm looking at my Owner Manual and the Manual state fuse # 26 is (power window relay / radiator main fan relay) is that the correct fuse to tap into? the correct fuse box is located under the instrument panel behind the box cover on the drivers eeart side right? Thanks |

Just curious, but has anyone hooked up their gauge(s) to the dimmer switch? It'd be nice to control the brightness of the gauge along with the OEM speedo cluster instead of by turning your headlights off
