Yea, at 200hp or even 250hp(Cobb) I don't see 4 bolts as a problem.

Stock wheels probably put force on the hub, so the bolts won't see much strain as long as they are torqued properly. When people start throwing spacers on there...then just maybe you will see an issue.

The rear seat cushion does not flip up in the Fiesta ST so that the seats can fold flat. However, it is pretty easy to remove. You can't fit even medium sized adults back there anyway, so...

Sorta cramped. I am 5'11.5 and I sat in the back of a base model that my GF was test driving and I thought it was fine. Not fantastic, but it was not torture either. Good thing we don't buy cars like these cars for our rear passengers

Overreact? LOL. You're very quick to jump to conclusions. My only gripe with 4 lug wheels has nothing to do with engineering, it's simply availability. There are more options in 5 lug world than 4.

Even then. The Mustang had 4-lug wheels all the way through 1993 (Cobra excluded), and that was as powerful as the old 5.0 ever got in production trim. Half again as much torque as the FiST and hundreds of pounds heavier, so I don't think it'll be a problem. Just for wheel selection, maybe, as someone else mentioned. Though if I get a FiST it's going to be partly due to price and I won't want to blow money on wheels anyway .

Ah, gotcha.
I looked up the pattern, it appears that Ford went with a 4x108, bummer, not exactly the most common lug.
If these were 4x100 there would be a lot more options for sure. I read the Mazder2 is a 4x100, I guess you could swap the hubs if it was a huge issue. I really don't care, I'm just thrilled we actually got this car in the US. Chances are, I won't even buy aftermarket wheels for it, the OEM look fine.

I'm happy to see Cobb getting involved in the FiST. I wish a local dealer would get one in so I can test drive it!!!!

Are people really calling this thing the FiST?
because it's really not that much trouble to add a few tiny letters.

Either way, I'm liking that Cobb is doing something with the Fi...(damnit)ST
I contacted them about the 50 Abrt and they said that they have no plans on doing anything for it.

So I test drove a Fiesta ST today; not-friggin-bad. I was very impressed, good job Ford. It was more solid feeling than I expected. The torque was unreal. I couldn't believe that little econobox could rip like that. It cornered better than the MS3 I test drove last week and more fun than the MCS I test drove. I didn't even notice the sound amplifier, the turbo sound was very present and welcomed. I will be buying one the next few months once the hype dies down a bit. I think these will do well.

Also, you can least one That's nuts, can you lease a MCS? (Per my quick research, you can only lease the base Mini).

I don't know if I would want to lease one. Thoughts anyone?

Ford isn't waiting for anything. They were already offering up to $1,000 in incentives for Labor Day week-end. Right now, it seems like the $1,000 incentive is here to stay for a while. These cars just made it to dealership lots !
At this rate, by December, people will be able to pick these up for significantly cheaper than the MSRP would suggest. Very tempting .

New review on YouTube.

Seriously thinking about trading in my TR for one of these. Especially since the rumors going around of no hatch for the MY15 WRX.

Picked up my Fiesta ST on Saturday. This little car is pretty damn cool. And dollar for feature wise it spanked the **** outta the Abarth.

(my WRX eyeing the new interloper with suspicion)

My heart still lusts for the little Italian, but my brain and wallet won out. And frankly, I'm very okay with that.

If I ever call this car a FiST, I want you to punch a baby.

nice car Onederer

Very nice choice indeed. IF it is as much fun as the Focus, you have one heck of a cool runabout!

If I had any faith, any faith at all, in Ford's ability to produce a quality (not talking about fun factor or performance) vehicle, I would be all over this or the Focus ST. Sadly though, from personal experience and all the chatter on every Ford forum I have been on around all the problems and the totally, completely unacceptable quality control issues that some people are experiencing, I don't see how I can get one of these. If I was younger and did not have a family, maybe I would look at things differently.

Oh, and nice car .......
